I had this after checking map of the Strip....

What Strip resorts would you consider to be part of North, Central or South Strip?

    I would consider:

North: Stratosphere (though unoffically northernmost), SLS (offical northernmost), Circus Circus, Fontainebleau, Riviera (closed to be LVCVA), Encore, and Wynn.
Central: Palazzo, Venetian, TI, The Mirage, Casino Royale, Harrahs, The Linq, Flamingo, Caesars Palace, Cromwell, Ballys, Bellagio, Paris, Cosmo and PH.
South: Aria, Mandarin Oriental, Monte Carlo, MGM Grand, NYNY, Tropicana, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay and Delano.

I would say central myself for Cosmo, it's basically across the street from PHo.

I understand why he placed Wynn and Encore in the north geographically, but they sorta belong in the Central region. Wynncore blows away anything else in the north area, and is also still significantly south of [strike]Circus Circus[/strike] Slots-A-Fun, its nearest northern neighbor currently.

What about Mirage? Poor Mirage got left out.

Most of those North strip casinos are only conceptions or in planning phases. They don't really exist.

What does "official" or "unofficial" mean when these geographical locations are just made up to begin with?

I would say north of Sands Ave is north strip, south of Harmon Ave is south strip, in between the two is mid strip.

Means that in political definitions, Strat is usually not Strip but in most travel guides, Strat is included.

    It's all just Paradise.

Since Harmon nips off a part of City Center I move the line to Flamingo. Flamingo to Russell, that's South Strip. The midsection runs to Wynncore. Everything north is essentially a wasteland for now so until it comes back around, there is no north of which to speak.
