I have a trip coming up in May (3 nights at Aria, comped) and one of those days is a Saturday. Now I'm not a High Roller or even a mid tier gambler by any standard (avg $700 a day bankroll) and my main games are Craps, VP, Sportsbook, and the occasional Roulette session. My question is, any chance of a $10 craps table on the strip on a Saturday? I know in the PM im probably requesting the impossible (which is ok with me, PM is for dinner and some sportsbets) but the lady is an exclusive craps and slots player and gets bored easily watching me grind away at a VP machine. I'm usually a strict $10 pass/don't w full odds and loaded across player so anything outside of $10 gets dangerous fast for me (except this one time...but I digress)

In my 8 trips to Vegas I've never been on a Saturday, so I'm excited to see how the vibe is different around the city, but fear I might have to take it easy on the tables.

    Some more info:

-favorite casinos are Aria, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Ballys, Cromwell and Mirage. Any chance of those guys having a $10 at anytime on Saturday?

-not opposed to going downtown a bit but would probably have to convince the wife :rolleyes2: but I haven't been down there in 3 trips. Would the GN or MSS run a $10 on Saturday? What about off strip? HR, Palms, Rio, SLS?

    - I would like to play some $1-2 or $2-$2 No-Limit but Im a poker novice by Vegas standards and on a Saturday night Im assuming the grinders are out in full swing around the strip

    - I refuse to play the bubble craps machine on personal principle :peace:

Thanks in advance for the info! This board is great.

On a typical weekend I would say Sunday is when all the California visitors go back home and usually 8am is when the tables change their amounts.
Out of the casinos listed, Ballys and Cromwell is your best bet for $5 table.
Since staying at Aria, it connects to Monte Carlo which is usually good for $5 tables.

For Downtown, GN will tend to be the highest. Fremont has $3 craps but the table is usually full.
During March Madness when no place on the strip was less than $10, there were a few $5 tables downtown after 8am.

During the day on Saturday, I'd expect to be able to find $10 tables at all of those places until at least noon, unless it was a big weekend. Less so as the day wears on, and Aria and Bellagio would probably flip to $15 earlier than the rest. If you start playing when it's $10, you should get grandfathered in if they raise it, unless they're slammed.

Head down to the MSS. You won't be disappointed. They always have $5 craps and 20X odds. Great dealers and, if you like good beer, you can get their microbrews at the tables. GN often goes up to $15 on a busy Sat. night and is always 3-4-5X. If you like craps, downtown is the place to go. Golden Gate, the D, Plaza, Downtown Grand, and El Cortez all have $5 mins and 10X odds. Binions and 4 Queens have 5X.

Saturday night, Easter weekend, there were $10 table(s) available during the evening at Caesars, Bally's and the Cromwell...the table min. seem to fluctuate based on what's happening in town, so...

There are usually a couple $10 tables at Aria on Saturday nights. If they have the table closest to Javiers open, it is usually a $10 table.

Wow...Glad you asked this question Ahalifko, I would have thought there wouldn't be any $10 craps on the strip on a Friday or Saturday night. Glad to hear there's a chance!

PH should have a $10 table that weekend. They also have a 1-2 "poker room" which is pretty touristy that also offers cheap tournaments throughout the day.

Aria will often have 1 $10 table open although it is hard to figure out the schedule.
There are usually 2 tables open until noon then they open many more.
Best chance would be early afternoon even on the weekend.
Monte Carlo is connected to Aria and chances are very good they will have $10 tables

I've definitely seen $10 craps at Aria on the weekends, though not usually on the weekends. I'll say this about Aria -- in ten trips there over the last year and a half or so, I'm yet to figure out the pattern for their craps minimums. I'm sure there's one, and people here keep telling me there's one (though I always see exceptions to how things are supposed to be), but it completely eludes me. Bottom line, I wouldn't guarantee it, but there's a pretty decent chance. And for what it's worth, I've had better luck finding $10 tables at Bellagio than at Aria, for whatever reason; I can't remember the last time I was there and didn't see one.

You and I have gone through this before. I will defer to your assessment of Aria and agree that Bellagio always seems to have a $10 game going. I am not there, Bellagio, in the evenings very often any more though. I spend most of my evenings at Aria and have played on $10, $15 or $25 tables. I don't really search out any specific denominations as long as I can find a $25 table I'm good.

In my experience its harder to find a $10 table at MGM than it is at Aria and Bellagio on the weekend. Most of the time I've seen $15 at MGM.

I've never seen a $10 craps table at Caesars. I stayed there in 09 for a week and all the crap tables where $25 and up. Not even early in the morning midweek.

MGM Grand definitely has one or two $10 tables on Saturday, at least during the day.

I just stayed at Caesars 3/30 - 4/4, and there were $10 tables day and night (even Friday and Saturday). I don't know if maybe that has something to do with the fact that they just changed out the layouts, but that's what I saw.

Most of the downtown casinos offer $5 crap tables. On Saturday nights MSS opens up their 3rd table but it has $10 minimums. Beware because even downtown, Saturday nights can be busy so you may have a hard time getting into their crap tables. I usually avoid the tables until after midnight when it isn't as crowded. My last trip during March Madness the boyd tables were all busy and full in the evening on sat night.

As for the strip, I thought that the smaller casinos like the old casino royale (are they still open?) offer $5 tables at all times. Margaritaville table at the Flamingo was at $5 during the day but not sure if it continued into the night.
