So I was playing last night at Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee and there were just a few people at the table, then this A$% sits down and in a matter of 15 minutes he switched seats 5 times. Not only that he moved to spaces in order to take good cards from others (I know that this is not true the cards are random but still) Anyways I had enough when I was sitting in the spot 5 of seven when he pushed me to get between me and the guy at 4 and put chips down on my playing area the dealer asked me and 6 if we could slide down since spot 7 was open. I declined and he let the "mover" play on my spot anyways. Pit boss saw and said nothing just kind of motioned to the open seat at 7.

On the bright side he was down about 300 in the 15 minutes.

Typical poto. It's only about 5 minutes away from my house, but I've had so many bad experiences there I find myself going less and less.

Yeah, that sounds about right for Big P. It's not quite as bad as it used to be but there's always a new "experience" every time I go.

This is my current favorite. $25 minimum roulette table packed with players. About every 10-15 minutes you'll see a player force their way in only to drop a $10 or $20, or my personal favorite, a random pile of singles crumpled like a ball on the table.

    Dealer: It's a $25 table, nickels only
    Player: singles

    Dealer: It's a $25 minimum
Player: one's - 1 finger in the air

Dealer: You can't play here. You don't have enough
Player: Huh? o.k. give me my money back

I also live relatively close to Poto but never have the urge to go except when I am drunk and staying in downtown Milwaukee.

We just went this weekend and actually came back $99 up on DDB VP. I ended up hitting 4 straight flushes, 2 AAAA and several 4OAK's.

Our daughter goes to UWM, we are in Milwaukee frequently. I agree 100% with the statements above, Nothing worse than walking into a casino and regretting it before you spend your first dollar.

I was told to look into getting the presidential suite at the poto hotel for a bachelor party and I was told they don't rent those out, they are just for the highest of high rollers

I may change it up by playing an extra hand or even sitting out a hand, but continually moving from seat to seat becomes disruptive to the game.

I play craps there from time to time, the craps dealers are pretty good although since they moved the tables to the other side of the casino I've found drink service to be pretty much non existent.

I can't believe the dealer would ask someone to move to another seat. That's b.s.

I don't play machines but I don't understand why anyone would play them at Poto. The nearest competition is about 2 hours away, I imagine their machines are tighter than tight.

A few times I've had the situation where some clown comes up to a table where I'm playing alone(say seat 5), and wants me to move down because he likes 3rd base and wants to play two spots, I'll say" sorry this is my lucky spot", or just point at the others and say "you can play any of those", if I was forced too by the dealer, I might start splitting tens or stuff like that, just too piss him off.

I've never been asked to change seats at a BJ table but if I was it wouldn't go over well.

At the craps table sometimes a player will try to squeeze in between myself and another player even though there are wide open spots elsewhere. That doesn't fly with me.

I was against you until you get to the point where they give him your spot. Thats when I cash out and leave that casino for good. Not because it matters, just because it is annoying.

Having you move a spot is ridiculous. With that said, there is one scenario that I can think of that could bring it up. Assuming 7 chairs for 7 spots at the table, and you were sitting on chair 6, but betting on spot 5. If this was the case, I think the dealer should give you the first option to co tongue betting that spot and just sit in the correct seat.

Once saw a guy at MGM bouncing between three different Roulette tables scattering multiple black chips on the inside like it was nothing. He then proceeds to lose on all three boards, points at the dealer of the table I was sitting at, and tells them they're bad luck. The dealer and the pitboss stared at him for a good 5 seconds before he stormed off cursing. Good times.

People can be so rude. Shame on the dealer for even thinking to ask you to move. I have never encountered anything like this, thank goodness. I can only imagine my facial expression would speak for itself and the inconsiderate player would get my vibe pretty quickly!

Not for nothing, 99.9% of the time I will not even join a game mid-shoe, just out of respect for the other players. I prefer first base, but if someone is playing second and first is open I will even ask them if they want it ( especially if I see they have been doing well) before buying in.

I will offer to move seats if there were two people who came in and wanted to sit together, and there was only one seat between each of the players.

One time there was a person playing at first base, the next two seats, and third base. The person who was at first base left. For the next eight or nine hands, the person who was sitting next to an open first base kept winning. The person who was at third base decides to move to first base to get her hands. What gall! Yes, the person next to an open first base could have moved over earlier, but she was having good luck and didn't expect that the person at the same table would do something like that. She decided to sit out, and I did the same to support her even though I didn't know her.

It's not about blame. It's about etiquette.

Agreed. Including dealer etiquette. Should have told the mover to take spot 7. So should have the player.
The OP didn't mention anything about losing, only the mover losing $300.

I think my concern, with being asked to move down, would be that the interloper could, in just a few hands, move and become a human wedge again. Odd that the dealer did not object to the muscling in. If the OP were playing at, for instance, position-5, while sitting at position-4, I can see where he may want to ask people to move (just like at the rifle range...your target is in your lane). Or...is this an extreme case of the customer always being right? Is there any sort of accommodation when it comes to taking money?
