Stayed there last April. Didn't really notice any construction around hotel. Yes to get to the Strip you have to walk through the mall and for us it got old quick.

Through Crystals you stay on the 2nd level and it throws you out on the Sky bridge at Cosmo. As of last weekend in Feb, you still couldnt walk north on strip from ground level. You can get to the strip through Monte Carlo also, but still have to walk thru their casino too. 5-10 minute walk either way.

That is not accurate. You walk out the front door and walk outside alongside Crystals to get the Strip. You can also walk out the back door (the north valet entrance), walk toward Vdara, and take the stairs next to the hotel down to Harmon Ave and the Strip. Or you can walk through Monte Carlo to get to the Strip. You never have to step foot in Crystals if you don't want to

Aria/Cosmo architecture done specifically to keep you from having access to the Strip brings up horror memories of self-parking at PH. I just won't do that walk through the circular mall anymore. For all the time I stay at CET properties I would rather sleep in the tunnels than have to stay at PH. (well, that might be overstated a bit).

Actually, following the route UK suggested it is a short direct walk.
No longer than the semi circular route from Bellagio to the Strip or through the casino to the Strip at MGM.

I have never found the walk from aria to the strip to be cumbersome. Or at least it hasn't been since they remodeled crystals to get rid of some of the dead ends

They changed it a while back. There used to be dead ends that basically forced you to walk through the majority of the mall to get from one end to the other.

I thought I had finally stayed there enough to get the hang of it too. Makes it much quicker and easier now.

meh, I just took the tram whenever I needed to leave Aria- to Bellagio to go north, and through the station to Monte Carlo to go south.

easy, and not all that long.

That's not even a little bit true, you can walk out of the main porte cochere and down to the Strip.

In terms of distance, it's no worse than Bellagio, it's set back from the Strip but no more of a hike than pretty much anywhere else in Vegas.

I don't think there is any construction going on in or around Aria... I've stayed there twice in March 2016 - unless you are referring to the new burger restaurant just inside the valet entrance, next to the poker room. But they have that curtained neatly. There's a new nightclub being prepared for opening in April, I believe, but I did not see any construction for that at all. If you are referring to the T-Mobile arena construction, that's further south (south of Monte Carlo) and it doesn't really affect Aria's traffic or anything.

You can get to the strip without having to go through the Crystals mall. There are sidewalks from Aria that dump you right onto the strip's sidewalk. I was craving sunlight one trip after a few days of playing and decided to explore a bit - and discovered that route. You can also go through the mall and it will end up on the second level by the skyway bridge. You can take the tram to Bellagio and walk out that way as well, but that's a long ride+walk. I agree with 44inarow - Aria is set back just as far as Bellagio is due to Bellagio's lake.

    Parking?

Just curious im staying at the Aria April 24-28. Won't anyone going to the new arena be parking at the Aria etc? Should be quite congested in the parking lot or perhaps no parking spots?

Another question on the Aria and resort fee: what is "Aria campus" suppose to mean? resort fee says free wifi. As well what is "press reader" app they talk about as part of the resort fee?

    Thanks

I believe perhaps the Aria "campus" means city center - perhaps including Crystals, Mandarin Oriental? and Vdara? Or it could just mean it includes the sidewalks... :)

Yeah Aria has free Wifi for guests. For the resort fee we better get free Wifi!

Press Reader is probably Aria or MGM's phone app that lets you read a bunch of different digital newspapers. All part of their advertised perks in their resort fee.

Mmm the word "campus" maybe means anywhere within the hotel and casino? I don't remember this being the case last time I was there. I can remember being on the casino floor and wifi wouldn't work well although certain areas it would. Who knows lol. Sidewalk would be nice ;)
