Is it safe for a group of 7 to walk from the Mob Museum to the neon boneyard after dark? I googled it and it shows it would be a 15 minute walk, but I know there are areas downtown that can be sketchy. We most likely would get a couple of lyfts from there back to our hotel on the strip afterward.

    Happy birthday to me!

Group of seven? That's a platoon - you'll be fine. I've made that walk alone at night several times and lived to tell the tale, though I wouldn't recommend it.

Yea, big group like that, you should be just fine. It is not that bad. Been there several times myself.

It's on LV Blvd about 1/3 of a mile North of Fremont Street. It's walkable, but my wife and I took a cab there with some friends. It's not as large of a display as we expected, but the history (as told by the tour guide) and the small group experience made it worthwhile.

Do you have to do a tour, or can you just go through on your own pace?

Escorted tours only. They don't want you to touch anything. I was verbally reprimanded for patting the huge fiberglass skull.

You can take a bus there. I forget which line it was. I have done the day tour and the night tour. The night tour was more fun for me. They will call a cab for you.

An uber will run you less than 10 bucks from Fremont.

I also preferred the night tour (having done both day and night) but a lot of it also depends on the guide you get. Our nighttime guide was much more charismatic.

With 7 people make reservations in advance. Actually with any number you need to make reservations in advance. They do sell out. And the groups aren't that big.

    Great time, highly recommended.

I second doing the night time tour. Really amazing to see some of the classic signs lit up.

We did the Neon Museum tour (last of the night) a few years back and it was really cool to see; wish my pictures I took came out better though.

We had 4 people and walked from there to Fremont; wouldn't do that again at night without a few more people though.

The night slots sell out quickly. They need to add more tours or add spots to each tour
