Since the other thread was closed, I figured I'd start a new one and ask if anyone can confirm that their list on the site is up to date. I see NYNY and Luxor are gone, but Mandalay Bay is still there, as well as CC. Got a trip in a month and loved using them at MB and Four Queens a year and a half ago, so I'd like to use them again at MB and get my SO to get some to join in the action.

    Thanks in advance!

My last trip in August Circus Circus still had both versions, able to do them every 6 months. Four Queens is once per lifetime, and Luxor (if they still do it) was the same, so I haven't checked either of those for years. As far as I know Mandalay Bay still has them, and I'm planning to check it out next month for myself. Tropicana is still listed on the Wincards site, but I don't think they have had them for at least 5 years. Palms had them for a while (hotel guests only?), but I don't think they do any more.

I'd be interested to find out about NYNY and if the Trop has them again. Any more recent users out there?

Maybe I'm a slow learner. I went to the web site for wincards but don't understand their benefit. Can anyone explain?

Great to know, thanks! I'll probably head down that end when we do the MC buffet.

The cool thing about Win Cards, Dr Lect, is that, much like your own bet and unlike a direct/match bet, if you win the bet stays up and you take the profit. It's a nice stab at extending your bankroll. Plus, I take the cards and give them to friends/newbies back home who are trying to learn how to play and want cheat sheets.

I haven't looked at the "cheat sheets" in years but several years ago the BJ strategy was incorrect in a number of ways. My wife asked what rules they were using to come up with the published strategy. I don't remember specifics just that it was wrong and not by a little.

The chips are a great value if you are in the right area. Not really enough value to go out of your way with the exception of Circus Circus and the dual deal.

What do you mean by 'promo chip'? Most promo chips I get are one-time use, with an expected value just under 1/2 of their face value.

They are promo chips, in that you can't cash them in, but you play them until you lose.

NYNY still had them on our last trip at the end of January this year.

The WIN promotional chips were available at Mandalay Bay last week. It's the same promo where you get $30 in chips for $20. You have to ask for a ticket at the MLife desk and redeem the ticket at the Casino Cashier.

I have several questions regarding the WinCards.

    1. The three LV casinos currently listed on the site has Four Queens, Circus Circus, and Tropicana. I have seen several mentions of $15 for $10, as well as $30 for $20. Can anyone say from experience which of these 3 casinos has which deal?

    2. I have seen Circus Circus mentioned as having "dual deal." What are we talking about here?

    3. Are the chips used for even money bets only? Or can they be used for anything like field bets/odds bets on the craps table?

I fully plan on paying for all three of these in June, and would like to know exactly what I am getting before I make the trips to each. Thanks in advance as always.

Question 1: $15 for $10 at Four Queens and Circus Circus. $30 for $20 at Mandalay Bay and New York New York. I don't think Tropicana has them.
Question 2: If I remember right, CC lets you do either $20 for $15 or $30 for $20.
Question 3: It can only be even money bets. Pass Don't Pass.

I might be completely wrong, but here's what I thought I read online somewhere.

Four Queens no longer participates. That was our experience last year. And I think it was only "once per lifetime" when they did participate.

Circus Circus has two options and you can participate in both. $20 for $30 and $10 for $15. I believe you can do one of each deal (and on the same day), but only once every 6 months.

Several years ago one of our group played their chips on the field, heck, it might have even been me.

Again, I might be totally wrong.

    Cheers,
    Kelly

I emailed the Win Cards website and figured I would share the response I got.

"Unfortunately, the Trop LV and the Four Queens no longer offer the WIN CARDS Promotion.

Las Vegas Area Casinos that sell WIN CARDS are:

    Mandalay Bay ($30.00 for $20.00)

New York, New York ($30.00 for $20.00)

    Railroad Pass - Henderson ($15.00 for $10.00)

Circus Circus - $15.00 for $10.00 plus an extra offer to buy $30.00 in the special chips for $20.00.

    Ted Gottlieb
    President
    Gaming International, Inc.

A follow-up e-mail also gave me the following information: "The special non-negotiable chips that you receive when you buy the WIN CARDS 'stay up' until lost. The chips have full-value with their restriction being that they cannot be cashed out. It is truly one of the great deals in Las Vegas. One of the biggest obstacles to more people participating in this offer is that it seems to be too good to be true. Well, it is true and I wish you good luck if you choose to try it out.

Also, was told that even-money bets only (Pass/Don't Pass on craps)

Good information Carlos, thanks for sharing.

Perhaps you might do your new friend Ted a favor and ask him if one of his staff could take a moment and update their website which still shows Four Queens and Tropicana as participating and does NOT show Railroad Pass as a participant.

It's not like it's a long list or would be that hard to maintain?

    Just my 2 cents.

    Cheers,
    Kelly

WIN Cards are great, I always try to utilize them. However, I once experienced a problem with BJ, so I only stick to roulette (black/red etc.), or craps (pass/don't pass etc.).

My experience with BJ wasn't with WIN Cards, but it was a similar promo in a native casino. I got blackjack, and the dealer paid even money, although it was a 3:2 game. His reasoning was that the promo was valid for even money only. Since then, I always avoid playing BJ with promotional chips.

Because of this reason, I don't place odds with promo chips as well, since pass line odds pay more than even money.

Just got back from the trip and wanted to confirm that circus circus, mandalay bay and nyny still offer win cards promotion.

I got 45 chips for 30 at circus circus, played 10 dollar bj (6:5) as the craps table was packed and ended up winning 10 only.
I got 30 chips for 20 at mndalay bay, played 15 dollar craps pass line only, and made 75.
I got 30 chips for 20 at nyny, played 10 dollar craps pass line only, and got 0 out :(

So in total, I paid 70 dollars and got back 85 dollars, hence a 15 dollar profit. It was below expected value as I was very unlucky at some, but still came out ahead. If I go next year again, I would definitely do it again.

Thank you! How did you purchase them? Did you just go to the cage and ask for a win card? I may take advantage of this on my trip this weekend.

NYNY, go directly to the cashier. MB and CC, go to the player's club. I think they mostly allow Win Cards once per 6 month period. They were able to see me using them last year, which was OK for them.

When you go, you just tell them that you want to try the Win Cards promotion. These hotels will have a brochure around cashier/players club anyways, they are well aware of the promotion.

No. Just the tables, on even money games (red/black etc. on roulette, pass/don't pass etc. on craps, and blackjack).
