I took advantage of some show tickets to see a Taiwanese pop star who was performing at Borgata compliments of my host at Caesars in AC. I had not played any table games at Borgata and hadn't been there in years; I played some craps and enjoyed playing there.

After upgrading my red label card for a black label (using my 7* card), I spoke to the host on duty and asked about cross-pollination between here and LV and she confided that currently there's nothing going on. They're not even cross-promoting Boyd properties out there. However, she did say that there's going to be a big announcement coming soon (next few months?) with Borgata and MGM and that I should stay tuned for that. She couldn't divulge any details but it sounded like MLife and My Borgata player card systems were going to do some cross-marketing which is great for someone like me who is new to Borgata and is looking to add another property to get comps from when I head out to LV.

Mohegan and Foxwoods should do something like that too.

Interesting... At a minimum, hopefully MLife will dump their terrible comp website and use something similar to Borgata's.

Foxwoods was connected with MGM and that went away. Not sure why -- I guess it was all in the financials. From what I hear though, you don't get rewarded if you play out side of Vegas with MLife. Someone correct me here but I heard something to this affect.

P.s. I feel like it's impossible to earn status with Mohegan...I go there frequently and have an easier time earning comps / points / status with CET. I do get some free play here and there thought but they're all marketing promotions :(

I hope they announce that they will be combining player's cards. Wouldn't that be nice to be able to earn points on one card instead of having two different cards? Probably never gonna happen but we can hope.

They have been doing some cross marketing stuff. I play at both the Borg in AC and I usually stay with MGM in Vegas. I have this offer showing in my Borgata account right now:
3 comped nights at any MGM property
$200 free play & $100 in comp dollars
    Pick up at Borgata 4/1 - 4/3

I already have offers with Mlife in Vegas so this doesn't interest me. But I'm sure it was blasted out (at varying levels of nights/free play/comp) to AC players that might not be on MGM's radar in LV. So they do some stuff. For years they wouldn't match an Mlife card to black Label but now they do.

Spdan, yes you earn Mlife points outside of NV but it has to be an MGM property like Gold strike in Tunica or Beau Rivage in Biloxi.

I had heard that you could use your Borgata comps at Boyd properties in Las Vegas. Not that you could just show your card, but that you could go to the players reward desk at the Borgata and get coupons in $50 increments that you could then use at Boyd properties. I will be going to Borgata soon and will try to get some verification on all of this.

Just got the information off of the Borgata web site. You can take out your Borgata comps in certificates for use in Las Vegas. The certificates are taken at the Borgata rewards desk and have to be taken at $50 or more (in $5 increments) from your comp balance. The certificates are good for 9 months (that's good for comps that are about to expire!). To redeem the comp certificate, it has to be presented to one of four participating Boyd hotels at check-in and gets credited to your room portfolio. They cannot be presented to a restaurant or used in any other way than putting onto your room portfolio. The Las Vegas properties that are working with the Borgata on this are: Main Street Station, Sam's Town, Suncoast and Orleans.

I've been turning my comps into vacation vouchers for years. Very easy. When they first started the program they could also be redeemed at MGM. I'm hoping they are going to bring that back as an option.

Many years ago I redeemed about $600 in vouchers for a stay at Bellagio. It was great.
