Going in August for my 30th birthday and I am looking at either Bellagio or Caesars and would like to book a strip view room. I have never stayed at either hotel before. Which would you choose or what other hotels may be better? I really like the location of the two hotels on the strip as well.

Someone asked me this question yesterday. Personally, I'd go Bellagio. Feels the most premium of the two, mLife gives great room discounts (even to people who never stayed at their property before), and there's a lot of fun (like the conservatory) stuff to do within the property. Plus a strip view room usually means you get to see the fountain.

CP casino is much move lively. Can't really go wrong either way as they are an easy walk to each other.

The only room I would consider booking at Caesars (within my budget) is a Laurel Collection room with a fountain/strip view in the Augustus Tower, if I couldn't get that I'd book Bellagio. Even if I could get that particular room, I'd compare what my money would get me at the Bellagio. Bellagio room to room comparison seems to offer a much better value.

Do you have a bankroll? If you are looking for any comps...Bellagio ain't it. Why not try Cosmo? Just down the driveway from Bellagio. Young enviornment. 30's...Private me if you'd like a contact. But if you are not a gambler...nada. Good luck steph86.

Having stayed at both several times, the answer is simple: Bellagio. Better rooms (even laurel collection at Caesars), better restaurants, amenities, pool (although close), slot selection, gaming selection, activities, service (not even close IMHO). And, you don't have to gamble to stay at Bellagio.

It depends how much of a strip view you want. Most b rooms look at the fountains and Paris from what I've seen and you can see right down the strip from laurel collection at cp (with the right room).

I'd probably take bellagio myself, unless it was a lot cheaper for cp.

I looked at Cosmo and it is more expensive for me to stay there than the Bellagio so far.

Stayed in the Augustus Tower last week with a fountain view, would not hesitate to do it again. Room was great. But then it was a business trip so I wasn't paying...

Have never stayed at Bellagio but it's kind of on my Vegas career bucket list.

I would also go with Bellagio. I just like the whole property more. I hate the Casino at Caesars - without my wife I still wouldn´t have found my hotel room, or the exit to the strip, or forum shops... ;-)

I vote for Caesars. I recently stayed at Bellagio for the first time. I was really underwhelmed, and the atmosphere in the casino was really quiet, but everyone wants different stuff.

Just stay at the Bellagio. You'll get the entire experience, since you'll pass by the Conservatory on your way in from the parking lot, see the glass flowers on the ceiling during check-in, then get a good view of the fountains from your hotel room while you relax (unless you don't ask for it and end up getting a view of the ventilators). Like other posters before me have said, it's a lot easier to navigate your way through the Bellagio than it is at Caesar's, and in addition, you'll be able to take the tram to the CityCenter properties and Monte Carlo if you don't want to stay the entire time at the Bellagio. Plus, you can always walk to Caesar's, since it's right next door.

Go with Bellagio. Caesars increased their resort fees to $32 recently for literally nothing.

I've stayed at both, prefer Bellagio due to service, property layout and general atmosphere. On the other hand, if you are into shopping and have a thick wallet, the Forum Shops would be a strong plus for Caesars.

It depends on how it prices out.
