a safe place for a womans money

last year we went to las vegas for 2 weeks. I won several thousand dollars at the billagiao playing the slots and blackjack. to keep it safe from the pickpockets out there I put 5500 dollars inside my bra cup. I did get lots of reaction from the people I was with and others. I wonder how many people have seen this done and if you are a woman have you ever don't this with your money? for me I find it safe and convient. what is your reaction?

 

I just keep my money in a small wallet in a crossbody purse... But stuffing it in your boobs is certainly one option.

 

My Wife also carries a crossbody purse and small wallet. Works fine. If it still worries her she gives it to me and I put it in my wallet made to be put in front pockets. Tumi brand has some great wallets that fit great in the front pocket.

 

Crossbody purse for me too. But I have friends who carry cash in the bra/boob space when they don't want to carry a purse.

 

Definitely part of the crossbody crew also. Keeps the hands free for beverages and playing

 

Save some bucks (pun works fine). Just fold the money in half and put in pocket. I gave up on wallets some 20 years ago. A few credit cards on rubber band in one pocket. Folded bills in the other. Works just fine. My butt and back have thanked me for it.

Woman without pockets are a bit of a disadvantage. Purses are easy targets.

 

Crossbody purse here too. If I had a big win, I would stick the money in my purse and then go to the nearest restroom to secure it more carefully (ie bra, special pocket in purse, etc.) They are starting to make pouches that designed on your waistband that would be an alternative to a fanny pack. Depending on how your dress, it could easily be hidden under a shirt and no one would know you were wearing it.

Cross body. Indeed, I have a couple of cross body bags that I use primarily just when in Vegas. Big enough for two cell phones, room key, mints, handy wipes (for my hands and the machines) and a small wallet that can hold lots of hundreds.

 

Impossible to lose once you get hammered, too!

 

i just purchased my first cross body purse. I have to practice wearing it for when we go to Vegas in June. Right now it's driving me insane, hopefully i'll get used to it.

Crossbody to keep hands free. When walking, one hand is always on it. Two reasons - security and it keeps it from flopping around.

If I had won a serious bankroll, I'd take it to the room.

 

Linda, were you saying that you put your money in your bra in front of everyone? If I wanted to carry it in my bra, I'd do it in the restroom.

 

Reminds me of (20+!) years ago when we were staying at Atlantis in Reno. There were recent news stories of people getting robbed while on their way to their room at Atlantis. I was worried about it, so I went in the restroom and flattened the 100's and placed them in my shoe. So I walked on them, under my sock, but still felt the bulk. Uncomfortable as hell!

 

Surprised no one mentioned fanny pack. i saw several people wearing them today, maybe they are making a comeback? But seriously, nothing says you don't get out of the house much like wearing one of those on vacation.

 

I actually have a very smalled black zippered coin purse (3" x 4".... about a quarter inch thick) I attach to a lanyard and wear around my neck...If I go outside the casino I wear it under my shirt...no one knows it's there. I also have a small cross body RFID purse/wallet for lipstick, etc., but I feel safer having my money around my neck. A pickpocket would have to be a prodigy to grab it there!

FYI I DO strongly recommend rfid wallets or even an RFID credit card slip if you ever carry cards. They have all type of gadgets that can scan for info. But on cash, the coin purse on lanyard is my winner.

I also went to Russia about 15 years back. Bought a passport neck strap and wore it around my waist and tucket it inside my pants. Very slim, so no one knows it's there.

I have a cross body purse just for Vegas. I think the bra would work too, but as others have said, I wouldn't do this in public, but in the privacy of the restroom, and then I would transfer to my room safe. I also have an RFID small card protector for my credit cards just for traveling as my RFID wallet is too large for my Vegas purse.

 

Great topic. I have a cross body, but for me it's uncomfortable and doesn't flatter me. I just bought a fashionable pack pack purse that I am going to use. I wI'll try it. If it doesn't work I'm using my pockets.
