Thanks for the heads up so I can avoid both places.....sick of this type of hidden fee when the prices are already inflated! Will not go to either......ever!

Thanks for posting this. I was thinking that the Beer Park might be nice to go to on my next trip. Grab a beer or 2 with a buddy and enjoy the view of the Strip.

And pay 4.7% for nothing! At least with the dreaded, BS, resort fee I can use the gym if I want to.

I don't understand the point of this. Rather than pissing people off with this ridiculous made-up fee, why wouldn't they just build the 5% into the menu prices? Is it because of the way it's taxed or something? Either way, won't be patronizing these places.

Seeing how the strip is all about over pricing......most will pay this just to be seen and able to post they've been at said venue.

there is a bit of masochist in the mindset of those who love to overpay, love 15.00 cocktails, love being treated like crap at top restaurants....fly at it....then come see me and I will sell you a coupon for printing your own boarding pass.

Ugh, it's baaaaackkkk! This was going on in 2013 and 2014. Not surprised it is popping up again. Cabo Wabo and Rhumbar both used to charge this also. Going to have to keep a more watchful eye out.

same reason why they don't jack up the hotel rates instead of adding a "resort fee". They figure that like resort fees you will just get accustomed to it and live with it.

I was going to post but when searching I found a thread from this board back from 2014 that talked about this.
I even made a reply in that thread.
Being that it was back from 2014, I don't even remember and not much said about since 2014, I assume people either aren't noticing or don't care.

Next trip you can bet the check with get some additional reviewing instead of just viewing the total to determine the tip.

I don't see these charges determining where I go or not go in LV. I can understand people wanting to save money - but that's not what LV is about for me. A 5% surcharge? No big deal.

It's irritating, but then again, it's less than a cover charge, so I agree with UTE. On $100 bill that's, $5. Annoying, but what DON'T the nickel and dime you on in Vegas? I'd just be annoyed if I found out AFTER the fact, so thanks for the tip!

At least for me....it's the principle of throwing on 5% at the end as a separate line, hoping you don't notice. It wouldn't change anything for me if places raised their prices 10 or 20%, I wouldn't blink an eye. I pay the price for whatever it is I want. But to try to just throw on charges at the end is shitty and I personally won't support it.

I had already resolved never to go to Senor Frog again. I wish I'd known about this scam charge so I could have been even more angry and indignant.

For me, its not about the money at all. It's about the BS fees they try and hide. Just tell me your $10 beer is $10.50.

Ha! The bad part is when these carnival-sideshow-esque venues open, people will flock to them like moths to a flame because it is the newest-shiniest thing on the block - without checking the fine print. These venues aren't opening just for your merriment, you will pay (extra) for them.

A beer park? Please. Just grab a six-pack and post up in front of Bellagio or Caesars.

Wasn't planning on visiting the Bud Park to begin with because I wasn't keen on the beer selection and the high prices for their not so great beers. If it was craft, I wouldn't mind at all, but why add a 4.7% fee on top of that? I thought the prices were high (but fair for Vegas) already, do they really need that extra 4.7%?
