    My Trip Report

We made our annual trek from Florida to Michigan, stopping here and there along the way. I posted a trip report. It's long. I tried to tell what happened but left description of the properties to embedded links within the trip report.

Read the whole thing or scan it looking for the stops that interest you. I think days 4 through 9 are casino stops.

Here's a link to the report.

Hi Don - great read. I really enjoy those types of trip myself. Would love to do an around the country casino tour. Being from Toronto, we'd start in Niagara Falls, funnel through Atlantic City, Tunica, and New Orleans on our way to Vegas.

    Enjoy your time at home.

Thanks for sharing Don! Sounds like you had a good time! You even made it out to *shudders* Lula! Hopefully they might still have the two full pay quarter games before those Game Kings fall apart. We went there once in July 2014. G/f will never go back...:evillaugh And we just missed you guys. :( We were just in Tunica Wed. to Sat.

Thanks for the trip report. Sorry to read about your problem with Rising Star. I am a small investor and Full House Resorts (parent of Rising Star) is my largest holding. Full House Resort went through some bad management until a year ago. I attended my first stockholders meeting ever last year. When I went into the room, there were a hand full of people and I started a conversation with a man as friendly and down to earth as anyone. I was shocked to learn when the meeting was about to start he was the new CEO.

I printed out a copy of your experience at Rising Star and will be sending it to the CEO. He has extensive experience in the casino industry and from my experience with him, he cares.

I got no response from a complaint call/letter. I got no response from a host I contacted. Friday, I got a call from the assistant hotel manager. She had received a letter from "corporate offices" with a link to this website advising her to investigate and take care of the problem. We're going back for a visit in June when we get into that area for a family reunion.

If it hadn't been for you, I would have heard nothing further. I thank you (and I think Rising Star should thank you also).

    Don
