I doubt it will have a whole lot of effect on SLS or any of the Westin properties in Vegas, but could benefit the Cosmo (a Marriott property.)

Cosmo is not owned by Marriott but in their loyalty program. The new ownership of Cosmo, Blackstone Group, is invested in the Hilton Hotel group so the expectation is that they would eventually leave Marriott. I think the overall health of SLS has more impact on this deal than this merger. Depending on what happens with the loyalty programs, this could impact CET hotels as they are linked to Starwood, too.
