If you want to use the words "good & cfs" in the same sentence with "Buffet."
    there's No answer.

Best CFS in Las Vegas is at Hardrock Casino
    at Mr.Luckys, (their Café)

That's probably best done in a coffee shop. I don't know if the cafe's in that area will have it, though. Ellis Island has chicken fried steak for breakfast and dinner but I didn't love their gravy.

I am a firm believer that outside of the high dollar buffets, the stuff like bisquits and gravy and chicken fried steak all come from the same supplier somewhere in vegas. It always tastes and looks the same no matter where you get it.
When i make it at home it tastes better and doesnt look at all like what I get in vegas.

The biscuits do probably come out of the same box. But disagree on the gravy because of my experience at EI. Gravy is usually not a fail like that in Vegas.

Hmmmm.....I'll have to try the hard rock. Always been partial to the CFS at Binion's coffee shop in the past.

Hash house doesn't have CFS. Who eats at Denny's?

The best I have had (but not for breakfast) is at Toby Keiths bar and grill at Harrah's--large portions and very good and they also have sweet tea

Agreed on the Country Fried Steak at HRH's Mr. Lucky's... pretty sure it's the same kitchen where the room-service breakfast comes out of, as the product is the same delivered hot & fresh to your room.

The only place we have had good country or chicken fried steak is at Ellis Island - and it was huge!

I can't see how anything breaded and fried would be considered palatable after sitting around for even just a brief bit of time in a steam tray and/or under a heat lamp, even if not already covered with gravy.

Silver Sevens has a country fried steak the size of a hubcab. Good, and you won't be able to finish it. Ellis Island also had a good one, in my opinion.

You've never seen it that way because they are used interchangeably. Of the 100's of times I've had CFS, I can count on one hand the number of times it was offered with brown gravy. The few times that it was, country or sausage gravy was offered as well, usually at Midwestern truck stops. Despite the obscure definitions, CFS=CFS.

All i remember is chicken fried steak had white gravy on the plate, i never had country fried steak with brown gravy. I used to love chicken fried steak with white gravy, but now it's a no-no. Have to adjust my intake of sodium, saturated fat, and cholesterol nowadays.
Having Chicken Fried Steak often was expensive, it cost me thousands of dollars in medical bills.............LOL.

Agreed on both. The very best in Vegas, due to the quality of the sausage gravy is at "Eat" downtown and at the Peppermill. Both take the white gravy to another level with chunks of sausage, the way Mother Nature intended it to be served. Chef Natalie Young's take on CFS has been highlighted on DDD and a Vegas food network program.
