Following the celebration of BeLIEve's 7th anniversary as the number one best-selling magic production in Las Vegas, superstar magician, Criss Angel will unleash the future this spring at Luxor Hotel & Casino with his brand new creation MINDFREAK® LIVE!. The new immersive spectacle - based on the wildly successful touring version, which performed to sell-out houses across the country and was hailed as the "Magic Experience of a Lifetime" - will replace the critically acclaimed CRISS ANGEL BeLIEve.

With a cast that includes some of the world's most talented specialty artists, Angel will bring his vision to life with a blend of heart-stopping original illusions, state-of-the-art animated LED lighting and RGB laser explosions, LED virtual worlds, 3-D immersive effects, pyrotechnic landscapes, live musicians/DJ, and much more.

MINDFREAK® LIVE! will begin in preview performances on May 11 and officially opens June 23. Tickets are on sale now and available by calling 702-262-4400 or visit cirquedusoleil.com/las-vegas. Criss Angel MINDFREAK® LIVE! was Created and Directed by Criss Angel and Executive Produced by APWI and Cirque du Soleil.

MINDFREAK® LIVE! will perform Wednesday through Sunday at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. Tickets start at $59.

CRISS ANGEL BeLIEve from Cirque du Soleil will end its run on April 17 after more than 3000 performances, thrilling more than 4 million guests since opening in October 2008

Funny seeing Believe and "critically acclaimed" in the same sentence. That show is beyond bad. I happen to like Criss Angel, he's very talented and a personable guy. I'll most likely give the new show a try. It has to be better than Believe.

That's why the marketing/pr folks earn the big bucks. Remember prunes became dried plums?

2010 marked my first trip to LV, at that time I was a Mindfreak fan. I was more than happy to dump about $300 for two tix to BeLieve. I hate to say it, but after that night I have never watched him again, that show was beyond disappointing. Hope his new one is better, Vegasvic, you'll have to let me know, this is one I will pass on for sure!

Good God, we can only hope he manages to put together a MUCH better show. It was the only cirque show I have ever walked out on.

I was thinking the same thing! I'm a fan as well, even stumbled upon an episode in Season 3 being filmed and was asked to be in the shoot. He was very nice and talked to us after the shoot in the store. I've read all the bad reviews of Believe so I never made the show. Curious to hear the reviews of the new show.

I liked Believe when he was actually doing the magic. it was the downtime in between. The yapping, the home videos and the bragging that was hard to take. Same goes with Penn and Teller. Great show. Painful when they were going on their anti-gov't triad. Entertain me and stop with the talk.

    That's a sheer lie!
Since the first day of the show, not a single audience said anything good about the show.

We just saw Believe two weeks ago (Myvegas) and boy was it disappointing.

More like a comedy show with hardly any magic ... I would have been very sad if I had paid for the tickets ...

    No belief any more

I don't know why he just doesn't do his own show. Forget the Cirque elements, forget having other acts of any kind. Just a Criss Angel magic show. He's talented, he's well known. Maybe he doesn't want to do a whole show himself, I don't know.

I wish Lance Burton would go back on stage.

I've been following people's reviews of this show for quite some time now. It seems of the thousands of reviews maybe only a dozen or so would claim it was a good show.

These kinds of overwhelming reviews to the negative would make a lot of people go to see it out of curiosity, sort of like they gotta see it to believe it.

I am one of those people who told myself one day (on the rare occasion when there isn't anything better to do in Vegas) to go see it. Looks like I won't be able to since it will close soon.

But something tells me I'm not missing anything.

What qualifies this as the #1 show anyway? Because he doesn't have to compete with someone like Lance Burton every night? Based on reviews, doesn't that honor belong to Mac King?

There is no good magic anymore in Vegas. Penn and Teller are decent but not great. Mac King is more of a comedy magician, kid friendly fun but not great. Nathan Burton the same thing.

well I walked out on David Copperfield, so Im not sure if any Vegas magic shows are for me. Other people seem to love it (?)

I do remember enjoying Penn & Teller on my first trip, but that was back in '06

Copperfields show was a lot better back at the old Circus Maximus at Caesars.

Yes! I saw his show 4 times within 2 years and never grew tired of it. He was the consummate magician/illusionist.
