I am certain I posted this question before but can't recall the answer and unable to find the thread.

Each time a bet like a hardway is made for the dealers they take down their bet when it wins.

I thought there was a phrase you say when making the bet so that they keep it working.

    Anyone recall what it is?

Tell the stickman the bet is a two way and "stack it" or "piggyback"

Thanks. Heading out in a few days and wanted to try to implement it this time.

I assume this is only when doing the same bet amount.
If I am betting a $5 hardway I may do $1-$2 for the crew so I really don't want to stack it I figure.

Just say 2way piggyback then tell them how much.

Don't want to high jack the thread but when you press your hard ways do most of you also press the dealers bet to, if you have them on it to?

You could just get the top with your money and tip them out of winnings and press if you want to. Not sure if you are able to press a true dealer bet even if you have control? Maybe someone else can answer that one.

Yes you can press a dealer bet if you have them on, I was just curious if others press up the dealer bet with yours. I've seen people put dealers up on a hard 10 with their bet $5 each then only press their bet. I will press the dealer bet alongside mine, for me it is good etiquette. I was up about $5K on night on the table and made a two way $25 bet on hard 10 and pressed it up to $150 and also pressed the dealers bet up to $150. People were looking at me like I was crazy until it hit. The dealers really go into the game when they kept seeing me press up after every roll.

    I usually do.

As blackjacknut mentioned, the dealers do get into it.
In fact, if its a hot table which resulted in them doing well they usually remember you and they will greet you on a first name basis right when you walk up to the table.

I often make $6 hardway bets. The dollar is for the crew. When it hits, I press theirs the same way I press mine. I got the dealers a $200 win that way two weeks ago.

Do you mentally track the $1 bet, tell them its a $1 stack or bet $1 and mention Player Control?

I let them know that they are on top, and that let's them know it's player control.

I am VERY close to not making this wager at my local anymore. (Oneida in Green Bay) If I have $5 for me and a dollar for the crew, and it hits.....I tell them, "$30 to me, and go to $30". Simple. The easiest way to do it. BUT, a couple of the box people refuse to allow this! They INSIST on the dealers cutting out $54 to me.

Now, I have to toss the dealer $29, and say, "Lock up the dollars, the $5 chip is now your bet, and I become $25"...........This is followed by a , "Huh?"

    "Exactly!"

What a dog and pony show!

If I press my bet I press theirs. I always piggy back my bet.

If you ever go across for the dealers tell them its under your control (then whisper they can do whatever they want with it).
They'll be very happy because now they can make press/take/parlay decisions for themselves - really gets them into the game.

I agree with Bo333. When winning, I go 22 inside (inclusive of point if point inside), player control for the crew. I normally have the crew drop the first few, and then press up a unit (5 or 6 dollars) for every subsiquent hit. They love this bet, and if we get several repeaters, they can make quite a bit in tokes.

I make one bet for the dealers for the amount I want to tip them. I don't play games with it, I don't add to it, I don't ask for 'control' over it. Once I place it on the table for them it's their money. No, I never add to their bet. I already tipped the amount that I wish to tip for them; why would I add to it? That being said, I ALWAYS tip the dealers for their service, but just what I think they should be tipped.

You're not adding to it, the casino is.

If you're making a bet for "what you want to tip them", why not just hand it to them?
