Has anyone ever had their show or fight tickets comped on the backend?

Just wondering if I can somehow purchase tickets and have them comped off at the end of the trip. I have had my host at mirage give me tickets before, but (of course) when i'm staying there during the shows. I will be staying at MB this particular trip. My assigned host is very unresponsive. I really haven't worked with her too much. I am platinum and get good offers. I don't know. I just don't like dealing with this host over there. I don't want to ask this host for the tickets. I know I sound silly.

PS-I know it is a pain to change host especially one that is assigned to you, but anybody can refer me to a host at MB? I'm not high maintenance, but definitely a response within reasonable time is a must. This host doesn't even response when I text.

For me, no (Low Level Diamond CET player). Whenever I've gotten tickets they were part of the promo I was staying on and the details were clearly part of the promotion. In some cases, although the concert may be taking place at a particular casino, the casino company itself is not the promoter and the tickets are offered through a 3rd party like ticketmaster.

MLife is a different since it tends to be more property specific but I often ask that the tickets, whether at Wynncore or a CET hotel, be tied to my room. The box office does it at Wynncore. I don't even need a host. I give them my room reservation and they add it to the room. When I arrive in Vegas and pick up the tickets from the box office at that point the tickets hit my room as a charge. Based on a play a host can take it off at the backend. When staying at CET, I've seldom dealt with my host on the backend but instead have just deal with a host in host office, whoever is on duty.

This is great info. I have been getting promos for UFC/boxing tickets, etc. (which I like), but my RC/FP are worth more that what the tickets would cost. I was considering buying tickets through the mlife desk, charge them to my room, and then see if I can get them comped on the back end, I just wasn't sure if you could, so thank you!

If I can't get them comped, I'm just paying what I would have anyways, but at least have a shot at getting them taken off. I prefer to avoid hosts (nothing against hosts at all, just the less layers the better, since my promos cover pretty much everything, and I get incidentals written off on the back end at the Mlife desk if I hit it before checkout, so no need to waste their time when they have bigger fish to fry.)

Now, this is only if I can get my degenerate fanny in gear to do something besides play, hit the pool, eat great food and relax!

At mlife if I'm coming in on a comp that includes a show, my host books the show, and its comp'd off the stay automatically.

If we come in on a regular comp with no show included, we ask our host to book a show for us, along with date and showtime we want. The show is charged to our room. At the end of our stay, depending on our play, more often than not, it is comp'd on the back end. Our host always makes contact with us during our stay and confirms when we are checking out, and then takes care of any add'l comps the morning of departure, if extremely busy time, our host tells us to send a text reminder the evening before with our approximate check out time- sure enough, at checkout it's been reviewed and whatever remaining charges are left, we either pay or use express comps.

Hope you find a host that works out for you - they will usually do more for you than the generic host on duty who doesn't know your history.

You can go to the box office at MB, get tickets for whatever show you're interested in, and charge them to your room. VIP services or your host can comp them at the end of your stay. You do not need to have a host get the tickets for you.

OK, so my situation is this. I will be there in July. I will book the room soon. What is I want to get the tickets in advance? You know some of the shows/fights' tickets go fast. I would go the presale route that mlife send to members. Then I don't think I can charge to my room in advance right?

I don't think that you can. You'd have to go thru a host to get tickets comped in advance.

All depends on your play level.

Ive been to 10 ufc events there and boxing and If the tickets arent comped, 90% of time they are, and in will call, you can sit on the floor or wherever you want but just buying them from a scalper out in front of the fights. I have bever paid more than 100 bucks for great seats. To be honest, from a comp standpoint probably a better use of comps and perceived value, since I bought a 750 ticket for 100, that you just pay out of pocket and use the face value of the ticket for other things. Now, I have more express comos than I can use, so i will buy wine and take it home from dinner to burn them up. Better than waisting the comos on an overpriced ticket. .02
