Just an FYI that Southwest has a sale right now. I just booked a round trip flight from Seattle to Las Vegas for a $101 dollars... Total.

All I had to do was click on the sale link at the top of their main page.

Nice. I put in our dates and the total was over $700 from Midway (Chicago) round trip.

That's the think with Southwest sales. This is the first time I've tried one and gotten a killer deal. It is 100% dependent on what cities to cities they decide to include.

Thats the beauty of Southwest. Lower fares can be obtained without penalty. I booked Buffalo to Vegas for 3/16 for $211.00. Last week it went down to 179.00. Called SWAIR person, gave her my conf #, rebooked and $32.00 my que for next trip! fares have been extremly high however i know with SWA Tuesday and Weds. are best/cheapest days to travel! Dollar for dollar, SWAIR is the best airlines (IMHO) going!!

Bwatson....There currently some SWA flights from Midway to/from Las Vegas for 118 each way in March. Just saying! https://www.southwest.com/flight/shortcut/select-flight.html?fromShowItinerary=1&int=

    Wed-Sun from Minneapolis was $500+

Sale fail. As usual these occur for cities with heavy competition on certain routes.

Thanks for the tip. They have some good prices out of ATL, as low as $109 one-way.

Now if you can just convince my wife that we need to go in April for my birthday.

I always seem to have a hard time finding deals from either Chicago airports. I have no idea why! I can only find deals last minute, but last minute doesn't always work with my schedule.

I checked this morning when I got an e-mail saying last day of sale and the tickets were over $350.00 each DTW to LAS. I paid $285.00 in November.

these airfare threads almost need to be subdivided into 2 groups- peak cost (Thurs-Sun) and non-peak (Sun-Thurs)

I booked a friend a few months back on southwest for our end of march trip, was $454.96 round trip from new orleans, had some gift cards i won a few years back so got the flight for $329.96, not bad but a few weeks ago the price dropped so I got a $73 credit to use for a future trip, checked last night and the price went up about $80
