I'm particularly thinking of Caesar's properties. What constitutes a group reservation? What possible discount/ perks are involved?

Good question. I have 4 rooms reserved in June but no discount other than the normal TR discount I get.

It's going to vary, but I'm going to guess at least 10....I know we asked many years ago but we had (I think) 6 and it wasn't enough.

Like HH said, it's going to depend on the property and the dates, but I've been told 10 rooms by several properties, so that's a good baseline.

I reserved 100 rooms before, and while I know we got some discount I don't know what it was as I had delegated the task.
Only thing I remember thinking was 'is that all', but it was several years ago.

They used to have a service that was supposed to help with event planning and room rates for small groups but I haven't seen it mentioned in awhile. I'm guessing it was phased out.

Mlife questions: Does anyone know if the person making the group reservation can keep the tier credits or does it go to the individual people making the reservations at the discounted rate?

Were you able to get a TR discount on all four rooms? When I book online, my TR discount only applies to one room and then the normal room rates apply on the second and third rooms.
