Want to do a slot craw next time we're in Las Vegas. We are MLife players so planning on starting at Mandalay Bay and finishing at the Mirage (not going to bother with Circus Circus.) Plan is for each person to pick one machine per casino playing $100 at $2-$3 per pull. If you loose the $100 you're done at that casino. The question is when to stop if a person gets above $100 on their machine? If the first spin wins you $10 and you're at $107 I don't think it makes sense to stop. So maybe stop when doubling up? Getting to $150? (Obviously the most likely scenario is that we loose our $100 on the machine and move on to the next casino.) We're open to suggestions and stories from whomever has tried a slot crawl before. Thanks
We have never done that but it sounds like fun. I may try it downtown. If I lose my money or double my money, I will hit the next casino.
I vote you must run at least 100 through (or whatever amount). So 50 spins on a $2 slot. You can spin more if you want but that's the min. That's how I'd play.
Love slot/vp crawls. Uncle and I usually pick 10 casinos and play $20 through at each. Must play exactly the $20 and cash out. Winner at that casino keeps/cashes both tickets. At the end of the crawl, loser buys steak dinner that night. What we learned is either more money or casinos makes it a chore we just want done by the end. $200 keeps it fun and still keeps us moving to see all Vegas has to offer but gives us plenty of time to enjoy spending time together.
Thanks for the replies. I like the idea of playing exactly $100 and either cashing out right then, or continuing at your discretion. Hard part in that would be to know exactly when you have played $100 since you are likely to win at least small amounts during your play. I'm sure this could be calculated by watching the session points but I'm not sure how points/coins-in is calculated. Maybe someone can chime in here on how many session points you'd have to accumulate to know you've played $100 in the machine. Regular slots only, won't be playing any specialty slots. I also like the idea of cash out at 50% gain or play til it's all gone. That would be easier to track, obviously. Will discuss with the group and decide what we'll do.
On a $5 machine, just count 20 spins. At CET, it's $5/tier credit, so 20TC = $100. Can use similar math at other props. cosmo is 2.50 (but higher level cards have multipliers so have to consider that). I don't have other memorized.
Yeah, I realize one can just divide the $100 by the amount bet per spin to get the number of spins that would equal $100 coin-in. Was just looking for way to do this without counting the number of spins you actually play. Not a big deal. This is just for fun and to get my friends who are Vegas newbies out and see more properties this trip.
It's probably the easier way or you'll have to have a card at each place. My husband and I did it downtown a year or so ago. Not a contest just $100 through every property on fremont. We lost surprisingly little. Wish I could remember the amount... I can't remember if I did a TR back then, I think it was in my pre-TR days Sometimes we couldn't remember exactly so we'd just do one more spin for good measure Was actually hoping to do it again on trip with buddies next week, but we'll see.
