Alright, as an earlier thread asked, "when do you feel like your vacation has started", mine started when I bacled out of the garage heading for the airport.
Also, an earlier thread talked about low vs high rollers. I am in between by the descriptions during that discussion.
My Allegiant flight takes me to Austin and then to (no, not Mecca) Vegas. Staying at Flamingo this time booked on a comp Go Room. The promo included a 100.00 dining credit. Best of what the choices for that was Centet Cut Steakhouse. Also using Diamond 100.00 certificate at GR Steak. Portofino at Mirage is another dinner on MLife.
Last trip was July 2015, so I'm ready! Plan on a little sportsbook action with my KU Jayhawk vs Texas on Monday night. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
    Wish me luck with Allegiant.

Cool. Pilot saw a nail in a tire on the plane. They're having to change it with a 1.5 hr delay.
But, a flight to Texas provides some interesting people watching in the gate area.

    Good luck!

I prefer seeing the direct posting of tapatalk pics, just in case you were testing the difference between the two. ;)

Allegiant didn't have a tire to change. Had to switch to a flight to Phoenix and then Southwest to Vegas. Only going to be a 4.5 hr delay getting there. Ain't travel grand!

You would think. But apparently Allegiant flies to a different airport than where Soutwest flies from. So I'm having to shuttle to Sky Harbor. Wish I had known this. All Allegiant shows is flying to Phoenix.

Wow! Talk about 'when it rains it pours'. Wishing you the best in just getting to LV...then you can take it from there.

Thanks. At the right airport finally. I'm only an hour away by plane now. Surely this means all of my bad mojp will be behind me when I do get there

Yikes! at least it sounds like you still had enough time to catch the SWA flight! I wouldn't want a short layover at Sky Harbor, the one time I changed planes there (had less than an hour), they made me reenter security! :grrr: And sky harbor is 32 miles away from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport! Damn.

At least I did some sightseeing on the SuperShuttle between airports. A cab driver offered to take me. But I felt like I would have been long-hauled.

Even without a long haul, it would have been $78...lol How much was the Super Shuttle?

48.00 on SS. Plus we had to drop a passenger off at her home. I didn't think that was terrible.

    My nightmare is over.
I'm finally checked in at the Flamingo in a Go room 25th floor overlooking the Strip. Taking advantage of my dining comp at Center Cut.
Not a dollar has been spent yet on any games of chance. But, that is only on hold until after dinner. More to follow...
