Getting used to this whole "having a host" thing.

I got a phone call from my host in Vegas today all butthurt because I took a day trip to Atlantic City without contacting her first. Apparently, she's also my host for Atlantic City. I had no idea that I wasn't supposed to get a separate host for each city, since we're talking about casino towns thousands of miles apart on opposite coasts of the country. Huh, learn something new every day. Anybody else have a situation like this?

 

I find this very funny. Not because you are saying it but because of the lack of consistancy with CZR. About one or two years ago when I asked about staying in AC my vegas host for CZR said he could only book for vegas. I guess this policy is based on the host and not the company. CZR does keep you on your toes lol

 

My understanding is that if they book it they get credit for your play for your first trip to another CET casino/city, the same way they get credited for your play at their location. Now whether that's just first trip in your CET history or first trip with a host, I don't know. In my case, I got my TR card and a host at a non-Vegas CET property and played there exclusively before going to any other CET locations, and this was a host at that location that told me this. This was also a couple of years ago, so the same time frame where NCAAHoops's host said he could only book for Vegas. It could be some hosts don't worry as much about working this metric.

 

They just want their commission!

 

No idea here. When Caesar's last changed hosts on me, the new guy said he could book me anywhere. So, I had him set me up a room in New Orleans in November last year, and he hands me over to a local host there, and now she has me in New Orleans, and he has me in Vegas.

I'm thinking about going to Caesars Windsor this weekend, and I'm torn- Last time or two I've been in Windsor I just booked an average room and ended up getting suites, based on my ADT, I think. Not that I need the suite, mind, but I'm thinking if he gets involved I might get the exact room he arranges. In the past he has been, shall we say, cautious when offering the more valuable room types when I actually needed them. I'll probably try him, it is only one night, and then I'll know, and besides, I'll squeeze them for back to back offers, so I'll get something from them one way or another.

 

It's been my experience that your host needs 48 hours notice to claim your visit at a property they are not already assigned to you at. The MyTR app shows all the properties I have a host assigned at, and who that host is. It's my understanding that if a host is already assigned for a prop, you don't need to let them know your making a visit (unless you want to).

Reality, sure any CET host can make arrangements for you at any of their properties but you're must better off dealing with different hosts at various properties. Example, my host in Atlantic City host is pretty darn good but only when it comes to AC. I let her make my Vegas arrangements 1 time several years ago. When I arrived in Vegas, it was a total nightmare. I didn't receive the room is was promised, my free play offer was not attached and my show tickets weren't waiting for me at the box office . There's no way a host in Atlantic City can be as knowledgeable and deal with situations at a property 2 thousand miles away. Lessened learned the hard way, have a different host for every different property is the best way to go.
