I find it disrespectful how some people make jokes about someone else tragedy. Someone died. How about if that was your daughter, would you make a joke or laugh if someone else did.

Probably not. There are many forms of humor. This joke was obviously disrespectful. Your findings aren't earth shattering. Move along. Momma jokes make some people upset. Like fighting mad. Don't disrespect my momma!!! Life is too short.

Still a safer mode of travel than the Flamingo elevators.

It's funny cause it wasn't a relative. If it was my relative it would for sure not be funny. Humor and comedy for one may not be for others.

    Mike. Kudos!

Almost 100% of humor, comes at someone's expense. It's hard to find a good joke that doesn't!

If a loved one of mine was found dead in a casino laundry chute, I would not open a internet forum about that topic, but thats just me.

What I am really interested in is how this will be covered by the blogosphere and if Derek Stevens will do any interviews on the topic.

That is a tragedy, however it occurred. But I have a question:

If an employee were to fall down a laundry chute in a hotel, I could accept the premise that it could have been an accident.

But, if it was a customer or guest found in the laundry chute, how would they have access to a laundry chute in a hotel? I've never seen a laundry chute in a hotel let alone know where they are located, not that I would be looking for one. Almost would have to rule out accident, right?

In another galaxy, when we weren't a permanently offended society, we had a rule in my outfit...nothing is too cruel if it's funny. Wives and kids were generally exempt.
