So, Ive never made a bet in the sports books in Vegas and I'm wondering what the lowest limits are? I know the lines are based on $100 bets, but can I walk to the betting window and put down $20 for a certain team to win??

    Thanks,

Yes you can. I think very Strip book will take a wager as low as $10. Some used to take wagers as low as $5, but I do not know if that is still the case. You can bet less than $10 on horse and dog races

I dont make that many sports bets, but I have had no problem on $10 and $20 bets.

There's a new William Hill sports book at the Casino Royale. I've heard WH takes bets as low as $2.

Probably don't get drink tickets for those small bets huh? My best bet would be to go to a slot of table to get my drinks.

Many books allow the $2 bets on the horses and the dogs.

You probably won't get any drink tickets regardless in sports bet unless you sit there all day.

Yet another reason why I miss the Stardust so much... used to be you could get get great cocktail service simply by sitting in their sports book with any active sports bet slip on your table...and they rarely even checked to see if your ticket was still active.

I placed a $20 bet at Bally's on the astros to win the world series and he handed me the bet ticket and a drink ticket without even asking.

Last June while in Vegas, my wife and I both made 5$ money line and spread bets on the NBA finals and Stanley Cup along with MLB and some golf. Generally speaking 4 bets (20$ total) pretty easily got me a drink ticket at NYNY and TI.

Do you get any credit for on your Rewards cards for Sports bets?
I know they swiped my card when I placed the bet but I cant imagine it gives you much of anything?

I think total rewards gives some TC but not sure what the rate is like.

That is correct. The comp rate is miniscule

Like UK said, it's tiny. I've read on here awhile back that it was $200 per Tier Credit. And CET and MLife both offer sports bets as small as $5 in my experience. Also MLife will barely round up to a $4.55 win on -110, but CET will only pay $4.50 because it's not quite $4.55000...:evillaugh I didn't bet at all this week though. :( I ran around wayyyyyy too much.

Most places have $10 min. on sports bets on the strip and at Westgate. I think I did $5 bets at MIrage last time I was there. You can bet $5 at most places downtown (El Cortez, Downtown Grand, Binions etc..)
