Hi Mona ...I'm from MN and have flown that red eye many times.....I would always check for delays before I start heading to airport because it does happen sometimes....if no delay as long as you get to airport an 1 1/2 before your flight leaves you should be just fine :)

    Hope this helps

Thank you, really didn't want to be there 3 hours before like they say. I've never taken the red eye so just wondering.

I rather be there somewhat early....by that time I'm ready to go home plus if my flight is 1am what's the difference if I'm sitting in a hotel room or the airport .....I rather be where I have to be earlier then late........just my opinion :)

I have had 2 flights out of Vegas heading back home. one was a 10:00am flight that I arrived at 9:20am for and made no problem. The other was a 9:00pm flight that I arrived at 7:30pm for and had no issues. I print my boarding pass from the kiosk and also have no luggage that needs to be checked or paid for as they allow the one personal item which is all I ever need for my 4 day trip.

I took the 1 AM Spirit red eye flight back to MSP a couple of weeks ago. I always use a small suitcase which qualifies as a "personal item" when I fly on Spirit thus avoiding the baggage fees. I also printed out my boarding pass before getting to McCarren. When the cab dropped off at Terminal One I went directly to TSA check in. There was absolutely no line; I directly walked up and handed my ID and boarding pass to the TSA agent. The two previous red eye flights, I have encountered short lines through security...in and out in less than 10 minutes. If you arrive 90 minutes early you should have plenty of time. This last flight was on an early Saturday morning.
