Tell me about the Paris Hotel

Wife and I have made the decision to do a quick 3 day trip to Vegas. We usually stay the Mirage, But have decided to try another Hotel, I wanted to try Cosmo, In a Terrace suite, But the prices for his weekend were out of sight of my budget for three days stay. So were going to stay at Paris hotel, But know nothing about the hotel. How is it ? What can yo tell us about it, Good and or bad. We were able to get what I assume to be a standard room, For 425.00 for 3 days. Like I said, We always stay at the Mirage in a suite, Will e be disappointed in our choice ?

I have stayed at Paris twice and really like it. I was upgraded to a suite both times.
It isn't as nice as Cosmopolitan but not bad at all. The casino is possibly my favorite on the strip - I always seem to have luck there. Good restaurants too!

 

Late night train with all the girl dealers running Around like a train in the casino is always fun to watch haha. Never stayed there though. But deff a fun place

 

If possible, try to get a "red room" rather than a "classic room," both are standard rooms but the red rooms have been remodeled much more recently. Overall, rooms are pretty average.

Casino is ok, I like the high ceilings with painted blue sky and cloud theme, it can be a little quiet though. You are next door to PH though, if you prefer more of a party atmosphere.

Ramsay Steak and Martoranos (italian) are both fantastic, highly recommended. Mon ami Gabi is outstanding as well, and a terrific value. Le Creperie and Le Boulangerie are both good for breakfast or a quick lunch or snack. Never had the buffet, but it's generally regarded as fairly decent. Burger brasserie is right near ballys in the walkway that connects the two, and is solid.

Pool is quiet, so again if you prefer a more lively atmosphere, you may be disappointed. Sportbook is mediocre.

Overall, I'd say it's pretty decent for a mid level property. I've stayed there a few times in the past and will be there again for March Madness this year. Looking forward to checking out the new Budweiser beer park that opened recently....sounds like a fun place!

Of course Cosmo is an upper end property...so comparing the two isn't really fair. Paris is a solid property but it's no Cosmo.

 

Stayed in a Red Room with fountain view last week, 25th floor.

Compared to the standard rooms at the newer hotels (Cosmo, Vdara), the Paris room was fairly small. The furniture showed some signs of wear, but the room was very clean, and the TV was pretty new.

Wasn't totally thrilled with the sound level from the outside, but that's what I get for being across the street from Bellagio.

Can't beat the location, but if you're used to Cosmo or suites @ Mirage, the standard room @ Paris will likely be something of a letdown. Can't beat the location though.

 

A standard room at Paris compares poorly to a suite at Mirage. However, the Paris has a good location and a pretty nice atmosphere overall. The excellent GR steak is located there, and many people love the strip views from mom ami gabi.

 

I've stayed in a suite at Mirage - way more than what I needed.

I have stayed numerous times at Paris with no issues in both the standard & Red rooms. The rooms are not huge - and in fact when I had a single king, it was actually a smaller scale (must have been the layout in the floorplan) - Now I normally get 2 queens so I have a 'normal' size hotel room.

Have you looked at a Ballys Jubilee Room? Remodeled about 2 years ago - mini fridge, coffee maker, shower (no tub), comfy beds. Bigger rooms also.

Great place. The casino and walkway from Paris to Ballys are very unique and almost like being on a Paris street.

 

The dueling pianos bar in that walkway is a pretty fun place.

We went there with some vendors and colleagues during my July trip and closed it down.

 

We stayed there in November and liked it a lot. Great location and can get to quite a bit of the strip without going outside (it was late Novebember).
Elevators are split out by blocks of floors so very little waiting as opposed to properties where all elevators serve all floors (I'm looking at you Flamingo).
Would definitely stay there again but we like to mix it up so trying PH next trip.

 

Just to clarify, you can only get to Ballys without going outside. P-Ho is close, but it is outside requiring a walk across the entrance road for Paris, then past part of the P-Ho Mall and then back inside. Checkout this view

 

True, true, sorry. Without going outside much. P-Ho is close on the South. Going North, you can take the side door out of Ballys and cross Flamingo Road to the valet door at Cromwell then out Cromwell's front door into Flamingo/Margaritaville. But you may have learned these routes on your previous stay. Have a great time!

Is their pool heated? I have reservations there in March 14 for a week.

 

Paris has become one of our go to places, since it's one of the nicer places that we can get comped on the weekends with low Diamond card. Casino and rooms are decent and comparable to most mid range places. I agree that you should try and get a Red Room and Red Room Corner P rooms are a little bigger if you can get one of those. I like the fact that the Red rooms have coffee makers and refrigerators in them too. Rooms are always clean and decor is alright. However, if a bathtub is on your must have list, this is not the place. Tiny tubs that can't even be filled half way. As far as eating, the buffet is not quite as good as Bellagio, Bacchanal, or Cosmo, but not bad. The crepe station is really good. We also like Hexx Kitchen, which is a nice reasonably priced option. The bakery is also very good. Yummy cheesecake. All in all Paris is a good option for a mid strip property.

 

Paris has been our home base for years. We do prefer red rooms, but if you can't get one, as for a P room, they're on the ends so you have Windows on both sides. The way the tower is laid out, even if you're on the end it's not a bad walk. Our host has us in a suite this weekend for our anniversary so I'm curious to see what we get.
The coffee shop has a sold breakfast and their service is always good. The buffet is good for breakfast too, we had dinner there once, weren't very impressed. Mon Ami Gabi and Hexx are also really good.
We like that you have indoor access to Ballys through the connecting corridor. We love the location of Paris, it's about as central as you can get.
We've always had really great service, once I left a toe for housekeeping to please close the drapes after they cleaned because the a/c wasn't working very well. When we returned that afternoon the a/c was cranked up, thanks to housekeeping for calling it in for us.

 

It's a year round pool, so yes, it's heated. The question is will they be heating it in March since that is the beginning of Vegas pool season.

On a related note, the Paris pool is a lot more calm than many Vegas pools (older crowd, families, etc.)

 

I'm in the minority. I spent, thankfully, only 2 nights of my 5 night December trip at Paris. The location is great, good food options and fun casino but the hotel rooms (mine was red room) are really run down. I could literally hear the person in the room next to me burp. They never spoke in loud voices but again, I could hear every word they said (connecting door). I did win $7699 a few minutes after arriving on a slot....so that eased the pain of the craptastic accommodations. I wouldn't stay there again until a serious reno. Even the red rooms were 9 years ago.

 

i never stayed at a normal room at Paris(i got a nice calais suite a couple of times->was couple of years ago when i was still playing slots and got great deals from my former host) anyways Paris as hotel is totally cool..they have a nice swimmingpool which is to my knowledge opened the whole year and its nice weather the next weeks. Paris as hotel is also nice, they have a nice spa and plenty of restaurants to go to (i only went to paris le burger, did the buffet a couple of times which was good too) nice central location (handy parkinggarage if you have car) and walkaway through bally's.....nowadays im downgraded a little to jubilee room at bally's but im totally fine with that (nice comfy room with fridge) you will enjoy paris though good choice
