    My Trip Report

Ok, this is my third time attempting a Live TR. The first one never got off the ground, the second I updated for a day or two and then alcohol, excitement and gambling caught up with me and I forgot.

This trip is far less ambitious (last time we had the marathon + a bunch of shows and events planned) so I should be able to set aside a moment from time to time to update the TR. Lord knows the last few months I've been rabidly reading all the TR's I could in anticipation for my own trip, so I figure its time to return the favor. I hope to start by updating a few times today as we do last minute prepping so hopefully that gets me in the habit.

Below is an overview of our trip:

    Feb 15 - 22

Fly out Feb 15 at 4:15 on Allegiant - never flown Allegiant, we normally do Southwest, but as fares have become less competitive in CMH, and we don't get rows to ourselves as often (my wife and I), we decided to use Allegiant and opt for the Giant seats. My wife and I aren't exacly big, but I'm broad shouldered and prefer not to be cramped on the flight.

Anyway, flight lands in LAS (hopefully) at 5:15, and Presidential will be there to pick us up.

Feb 15-17 - 2 nights comped at Flamingo in "Go" Room + Free Play + $150,000 VP tourney (first VP tourney for me)

Feb 18 -22 - 5 nights comped at Palazzo + Free Play + $50,000 slot tourney (wife will be playing on my behalf)

I discovered last night I'll be in Vegas the same time as a former colleague for 2 nights. Additionally we have a friend coming into Vegas Wed morning, and then her husband arrives Thursday. They're staying at Mirage, so we'll meet up with them a few times.

    Definite plans:
    Lotus lunch
$250 free play at Cosmo (special offer)
Mini "slot golf" event with friends
Meet ex-colleague for craps at PH (discovered we'd be in Vegas at the same time last night)
A lot of craps (real and 'fuzzy')
    A lot of sports bets
    A lot of VP
    A lot of slots (wife)
    A lot of drinking
    A lot of winning???
    A lot of fun!!!!

Other than that, we're completely open. Hope to update more today.

In flight beverage additives have been acquired. Since allegiant is ala cart, the plan is to get some pop after tsa and use these for the flight.

Packing has commenced, Vegas play list for drive to airport being created and then I hope to get in some Vegas vacation before the all star game. Debating asking a friend to place a wager and then I'll pay or collect after arriving.

As an aside, I have on older model phone with a crappy camera and terrible swype functionality. So pictures will be poor quality and expect a lot of misspellings/grammar issues, especially once drinking commences in earnest.

I plan to only hydrate tonight and give the liver and kidneys a rest before the real fun begins, that's subject to change though. ;)

Thanks all. As always the night before Vegas I didn't sleep a wink. Between visions of jackpots and losing steaks dancing in my head and thoughts of forgetting critical items or missing my flight as well it was a rough night. But I've surrendered to being awake now and hope to catch up on some sleep on the plane.

Looking forward to a fun TR - fuzzy pics will add intrigue. Will be following with our own trip in two weeks so will be interested in hearing which were your favorite places to eat and favorites on the menu that we might copycat.

Wishing you and your wife a total trip win!

One reason sleep last night was difficult. A bit worried about the allegiant experience. [emoji12]

Slot golf is where we turn the strip into a golf course. Each casino is a "hole", and got the game you play one machine at each. Your score is how many spins it takes to win at least your bet back. There are more details I can add later, but that is the basic. It started as an excuse for is to walk the entire strip one day and see everything and now it has become a tradition and friends always want to play it with us. This trip I don't think we are doing the whole strip, but a section around the north down to center strip. But who knows.

What a fun idea. Bet there's lots of stumbling by the time you reach the 18th hole! Good Luck Mr and Mrs Fuzzy. Will be looking forward to your updates.

Wow, we should set up a whole thread dedicated to the best 18 casino score. Which 18 casinos shall they be though...

Our first time doing it we did EVERY property, including counting Flamingo/M'ville as separate along with V/P E/W, and even stopping in the small places like Casino Royale. I think we ended up doing something like 28 properties....it was a bit too long...and our first time we also didn't "cap" scores, I scored a 40-something at Cosmo, ha. Now we normally cap it at 10 strokes a hole (maybe 5) to help manage bankroll.

I like the idea of a thread for scores though. This time there will be 4 of us, so should be fun. But like I said, I think we're only doing about a dozen properties rather than the whole thing, as you well know that liteally takes the whole day.

Breanna, you're right, there is usually a lot of stumbling....and often well before the end!!! :)

If I think about it I'll post a picture or two of our scorecards (they're tucked away safely now)...but my wife has done a great job with getting pictures of each casino on there. It looks pretty sweet. (This iteration isn't quite as good since we don't know exactly how far we'll be going).

T-35 minutes till we are out the door!!!
