    My Trip Report

leaving tomorrow afternoon out of Cincinnati for a short three day stay. we are flying out of Cincinnati on Frontier Airlines, fares were much cheaper than southwest out of Columbus and I just wanted to try the airline. Starting in June, they will be flying out of Columbus. I don't really require much out of a airline other than they take off and land safely. Being ontime would be a plus too.

trip will consist of three of us. my brother Shon and a friend Mike will be staying at Harrahs. Shon and I have invites into the video poker tournament, I have never played in one before so thought I'd give it a shot. I've only ever stayed at Harrahs one other time and was completely underwhelmed but that was ten years ago. We had the option to stay at other properties comped but my brother said he likes Harrahs and I usually pick where we stay so I said why not.

I hope to post some pics and give you a running tally with the gambling.

    see you tomorrow

    todd

    Good Luck!!

I had a "High Roller view" room there once (isn't practically everything on that block a "high roller view") to take advantage of an FP offer. We really only used it to rest and as a stop gap til our late flight left after we checked out of Delano. That said, while I, too, was underwhelmed, I'd stay there again if I had to as you can do much worse.

GL buckeye Todd. Being from Columbus also, I am very curious about your frontier experience. Let me know all about it. Thanks!

Leaving for airport early, got some snow and freezing rain here in central Ohio, if we get to Cincinnati too early gonna stop at the Horseshoe and use some free play and get some free eats, only a true degenerate has to stop at a casino on their way to Las Vegas.

You could try to get one of the new carnival south rooms is they are done being renovated. They are supposed to be done sometime this month.

As your expectations were fairly basic from an airline, Harrah's should meet similar hotel expectations. What I love about Harrah's is how convenient the location is and how quickly you can get out onto the strip. *Tip: try the Oyster Bar at Harrah's.

Have a safe trip and a great time. Looking forward to updates. I've stayed at Harrah's a few times and really don't mind it. Sure, it's pretty basic but our rooms were always clean and the location is great.

Please take some advice from a fellow Buckeye and make sure you check and double check your flight status when flying on Frontier. I flew out of CVG in July and both flights (to/from) were delayed quite a bit. Once you get in the air the flight and service is good!

Did you select your seats for a higher price on Frontier or just go with what they gave you? Full plane?

No idea how u guys stay live on the trip reports but here is a quick update. Last night had a few horrible sessions at Wynn, couldn't hit anything. Lost 8 straight hands playing crazy 4, seems unlikely but I'm here to say it happened. Ended up back at harrahs, was getting ready to head up to bed and stopped at DD BJ table, bought in for 200, lost 8 straight hands at 25 per hand. Today has went better, up a bit. Played in the VP tournament, ended up with 970 points which puts me somewhere around the middle I think. Have to play second session tomorrow. Heading downtown now, wish me luck.
