    My Trip Report

I arrived earlier today, and the wife is arriving on the tomorrow, and then from there it’s gogogo!

Lodging: Aria 2/12 – 2/21 in a Panoramic Corner Suite

Planned Meals: would love other suggestions if you have them (or if we should skip one of these)!

    - Carbone Monday night
    - Kabuto Tuesday night
    - Gordon Ramsay Steak Wednesday night
    - Giada Thursday night

Our itinerary is fairly unplanned otherwise, but we’re going to see what comes and go from there. I'm a poker player first, but probably not a ton of poker this trip as the wife doesn't play, but I'll sneak in as much as I can (she's a big napper). Various gambling planned throughout the trip: blackjack, craps and Pai Gow poker most likely to be the main games.

I’ll do my best to keep this as live as possible, but please don’t hate me if we go a day or so without an update.

    Pics coming soon!

    A few pics.

First time flying Virgin America. Not bad but not as amazing as I was expecting after the reviews from friends.

Have fun and enjoy Aria! Carbone is fantastic. Ate there for the first time last weekend. I am a big fan of Julian Serrano and Tetsu. Have a great trip

I agree with the comments for happy hour at Bardot and Julian Serrano as well. They are both very good and reasonably priced, Julian Serrano probably a little more so.

Awesome. Thanks for the recommendations everyone! About to clean up and head downstairs for some video poker then the 7 pm Aria poker tourney before the wife arrives. Getting it out of my system!

Good start with the pics! And 7/5 DDB...F you PGP!!! I'll wait to get to Vegas to update the sticky list I guess. :(

It's DDP (obviously)...not sure if that makes it less bad or not. Would only play 9/5 if it was purely JoB.

I've never seen 9/5 DDP, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

6/5 Bonus would better payback than 7/5 DDB, if they still have it. It used to be 8/5 DDB for quarters, 9/5 DDB or 9/5 JoB for dollars. I think they lowered almost every game one "notch" (~1.1%) the past couple of months. :(

"Duck Confit Crostini" with foie gras, white bean and escarole for a snack prior to tourney. Absolutely delicious.

Yeah I'm playing quarters (after dusting off a few hundred at dollars earlier without hitting a thing). That's unfortunate to say the least. I don't visit Vegas often enough to keep up with everything, but this board is an excellent education!

May step up the stakes again as I get further into the trip.

Still grinding the Aria 7 pm. Treading water. Ugh.

And I'm out after getting it all in with my AK against A5. 5 came on the river. Sad.

There's a place in the Forum Shops @ Caesar's.... "Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak, and Crab."

I recently ate at the one in D.C., and it was a 5 Star experience from start to finish. I recommend the Grilled Seafood Platter.
