    Hello everyone!

Long time lurker, occasional poster and infatuated anything to do with Vegas! (eat, sleep pray Vegas?)

I wanted to start a thread where we could create a place to meet people from our local cities. In my case, this being Toronto, Canada.

This would be a great way to find others from Toronto who are as obsessed with Vegas as I am. All of us may have different social habits on this site (from lurking to frequent posting) but it would allow those in hiding to come out and say hello, and those who post regularly to make yet another appearance.

Ideally this thread generates a lot of interest and response and we can actually have a live meet and greet somewhere in the GTA!

Who knows maybe this starts a trend with others in different cities to do something similar!

An inspiration was to see the trip reports from this past super bowl weekend of all the frequent posters and Vegas attendees who all seem to be having a blast - most of whom met on this site! I for one followed along diligently and it makes my upcoming trips that much more exciting to look forward to. (As well as living vicariously through others in situations I would not likely have) Being from Toronto however it's not as feasible or easy to go to Vegas as often as some of our west coast and American friends, but this doesn't mean we can't start the planning and process early and create the same buzz with like minded local VMB'ers.

Maybe this thread gives some locals an opportunity to reach out to others if they are hesitant to do a solo trip?
Maybe this thread allows us to share similar stories from a Canadian perspective?
Maybe it creates a strong enough community where we all eventually plan a "TORONTO VMB TRIP"?

The possibilities and stories are endless and I thought this would be a good way to take our love for Vegas that much closer to home.

Hopefully some of you share the same thoughts and ideas about this as I do. Looking forward to seeing how many people from Toronto respond

As a complete aside, I have a Southwest companion pass that is currently in vacancy right now (my buddy who was my companion is tying the knot and leaving these privileges behind.... as well as many other freedoms :wink2: ) PM me if you are from the GTA and are interested.

P.S. Mods not sure if this was the right area to include this thread but feel free to change it if need be.

    Hello!

I'm a 28 year old guy living in North York and working downtown Toronto. I love Las Vegas. I feel like this is a support group. And that's ok

This is as close as I'm gonna get to a Flusherville support group, so count me in.

    The secret Toronto password is...

Of course there could be a meet up at the Zhum Rhein for those in the know...

I may be flusherville distance now on the other side of the GTA...a little too close to the View of the Falls than is good for me

It's been 7 months since they approved it but still no word on any timeline. I would be surprised if anything happens this year

Tell me about.it...im counting down the days every single day...

Ive been tempted to make a Niagara run, but with this shitty weather I decided against it. Besides it makes Vegas all that much more sweeter

In a desperate move of "Degen", I went to woodbine last night...horrible.

Why is it that win or lose I always feel like crap leaving that place?

I haven't been to Woodbine since June 2014. I swore myself off after losing so constantly. They have a nice selection especially .05 machine etc compared to Seneca and it's much closer obviously. I have had some huge wins early in my time there but bled that off. And comps are such a joke I stopped using a card altogether. Oh what's that - you lost 3k here in hrs? Have a bowl of soup! 10 fp next month lol. Its such a depressing walk across that expansive parking lot too.
