    My Trip Report

Meeting up with some close Family for a fun filled Super Bowl weekend. We will be staying Downtown and doing local Casinos. I see lots of Craps Blackjack and VP in my next three days. Don't know about the Game, this one is tough to decide congrats to Panthers and Broncos !! (being a Cowboy fan it really cant get into it so much, what a horrible year for the Boys:thumbsdown:) anyway I'll be flying out in a couple of hours and I cannot wait.

Good luck and have a great time. I know what you mean about the Cowboys. They need a healthy quarterback among other things.

Cowboys fan here too. Grew up down the road in Shreveport. Had some hopes for this season after last years tease but that went downhill fast.

A lot of money is going on Carolina which makes me want to lean Broncos as I figured it's a bunch of square money. Regardless, good luck!

Spent most of our time at the Downtown Grand, I really like the place...nice layout and quieter then The D...I got there Thursday Night at about 11:00 we went straight from the Airport to the Silver Sevens and hit the Crap Tables for a couple hundred and that was about it for my winnings this trip...I got my ass kicked to hell and back !!! My Cousins won a shit load so that's OK...I stayed at the Fremont and the room was decent and comfortable but the room was close to Fremont street and it was an outside room so I had Band noise and traffic noise to deal with. Every time people would walk across the street they would walk on the don't walk sign and pissed off drivers would blow the hell out of their horns, if you get a room at the fremont just keep in mind stay as far away from Fremont street as you can and get inside rooms.....Most of the trip included early morning $3 craps then breakfast at Dupars and then Blackjack somewhere, we always seemed to end up at a $25 two deck pitch table (face down) for some reason, nights were time for dice at the GG.........I wish I could remember the name of the Pizza place we ate lunch on Saturday but its right across the street from the Downtown Grand and all I can say is Awesome !!!! We had a great dinner at Andiamo's Steak house in the D, The Bone in Rib eye I had was perfect !! We had tickets to the D Superbowl party, went over and checked it out, it was a really nice setup but when we found out we had to pay for booze at $7 a beer we hauled ass out of there, went back to the Grand to watch the game there play some two deck BJ and get free booze. All in all a fun trip and great food and I will say this again the Downtown Grand was a really nice place, friendly dealers and great drink service, now I just need to figure out how to win there.

Nothing right next to it but a short couple blocks to Fremont Street.

As someone who doesn't go Downtown often, I really want to get to the Grand. Last trip I cabbed to Fremont, looked for the Grand and gave up:) Ended up at MSS and GN!

At the west end of The Fremont hotel between it and the D is an "alley" that if you look down you can see the Downtown Grand

The only thing I diden't like at the Grand was the slow cash window, they had 2 people working and they were using both windows for player card sign ups and stuff like that plus cashing chips...thats an easy fix though and I told the one of the pit critters about it, he said he would look into it. I'll be back for sure...
