I'm 2 weeks out, and getting excited. Had the Linq booked, then got an email & good rates (for me) at Encore so staying there last 2 nights. I don't like switching hotels; was going to ask here if I should bother doing so, & booked it while I thought about it, but once it was booked, I didn't want to let it go!

I've stayed at Wynn years ago; that was our place. We went to Encore and the casino wasn't as lively, but I enjoyed Sinatra, and am planning to see Michael Mongue as I like that schmaltzy lounge music.

Any other favorite spots you have there? Tips? Where do I get morning coffee?

I just want to talk about it, you know how that is! :D Tell me about your experience.

Lobby Bar for your morning coffee. (Wynncore coffee is the best on the strip, IMO.)

    Drunken noodles at Wazuzu.

Play the daily free slot tourney and you get free buffet passes, if that interests you.

Ask for a north-facing room to avoid any late night noise from the club.

Encore is definitely one of my favorites. Enjoy!

Great fitness center...always helps to get the oxygen after a blurry night.

Last couple of stays the drink service on the floor is getting better.

Front desk staff has always been friendly and professional.

Of course, easy walk to Wynn where we like the buffet and Red 8 was a very good experience.

This will be our eight stay and I'm betting you'll LOVE Encore.

I think you'll love Sinatra and Michael Monge and I agree with Carve that Wynn has the best coffee on the strip. If you want a great steak and a great overall meal then go to SW.

Unfortunately Society Cafe is gone but Terrace Pointe is great and I'm betting Jardin is great. Want deli? Go to Zoozacrackers.

I'm the type of person who likes to take a stroll. If you like that too then walk by the meeting rooms. It's really beautiful and relaxed.

Now for the most obscure suggestion, IMO. The toothpaste that they sell in the Drugstore is the best toothpaste I have ever used. Go ahead and laugh but your teeth will thank you.

Is the free daily slot tournament something you can get into if staying at the Wynn? Any requirements to enter or can anyone do it? Any idea when they are? Free buffet passes for the Wynn would be awesome!

My info is old (last summer) so I'm not sure if it has changed. But someone recently posted a picture in a TR with details. Maybe scan the TR section for recent Wynncore trips to see if you can find it.

But as of last summer: there was no requirement that you were a hotel guest of Wynn or Encore. You just had to earn 500 Red Card points that day...then register at a Red Card booth...then show up for the tourney mid-afternoon (can't remember the time).

Another Encore fan here! Love Wynn and Encore but really like the Encore rooms and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Encore Spa. The quieter feel of Encore makes it seem that much more elegant to me. Michael Monge is fabulous. I've enjoyed his music and reasonably priced drinks and hit the dance floor -- all a few times -- and was there solo. Truly great time and one of the unique experiences. Even if you don't want to sit in the lounge you can play a machine nearby and still hear the music. It's GREAT!

I've never tried it before but just learned -- after staying in the Encore Tower Suites now four times -- that I can get complimentary coffee or tea at Encore Lobby Bar near where the main Encore elevators are located. I'm going to check it out this time. I heard it's a great place for a light breakfast or light snacks during the day.

I also love the Encore pool area. I've enjoyed the Wynn Tower Suites pool too but love that you can be at the Encore spa and through the spa shop you can take an elevator down to the pool.

Make sure you check out the slot tourney and get the 2 free buffets each day!

Le Reve is enjoyable but Showstoppers is one of my favorite shows on the strip. Definitely consider checking it out!!

OMG, I love Wynncore. I tend to play slots in Encore and Double STP and Blackjack in Wynn. Love the Home Store in both Encore and Wynn, window shopping in Hermes.

I too loved Society Cafe but you can order the french toast they served there for breakfast in room service.

Check out Tableau. More great food and elegance.

Love SW but loved sitting on the patio at Lakeside and watching the show. I had Thanksgiving dinner there solo and it was spectacular and a perfect night!

I love all things Flowers -- hence my VMB name -- and can't wait to try Jardin!

One of the things I'm going to do this time is explore the exterior of Wynncore more; checking out the gardens, etc.

If you are there on a Sunday, definitely do the Jazz Brunch at The Country Club.

I am Seven Stars at CET and like Caesars, Qua and the center strip but I LOVE Wynncore and especially Encore! Enjoy!!!!! The service, the food, the ambiance, oh my!

I actually prefer the Wynn resort room over the one at the Encore resort suite, since I don't like having the room divided by the TV, and the view of the golf course is generally better from a Wynn room.

I've only been to the Encore spa a few times, but I've always enjoyed it. While it's not awe-inspiringly huge, it has a calm and relaxed atmosphere that makes it feel like time has stopped. I would definitely recommend visiting it at least once, but the prices are steep.

As far as the food, the only restaurant at the Encore that I really enjoy is Andrea's. Most of the time, I usually eat at the Wynn, which I feel has the better overall restaurants. My usual haunts at the Wynn are The Buffet for breakfast, the Country Club and Red 8 for lunch, and Mizumi (teppanyaki) and SW Steakhouse for dinner. I'm also a fan of ordering a steak for room service, and I've never been let down.

Thank you, all! I do get 2 free breakfast or lunch buffets with my deal. So I will probably be doing the snake diet those days and not do much fine dining.

    Toothpaste, huh?

Flowers, I DO want to sit in that lounge. I am glad you mentioned you were there solo, makes me feel a little better.
Do you only get complimentary coffee if you are in the Tower suites? I guess it doesn't matter, I will go there anyway, just wondering.

I love sitting at Parasol Down at Wynn and watching the color show. Do they still have that?

I'm going to the Home Store for sure. I have a WynnBlow-Dryer (50th birthday gift). Going to one more mattress shop here tomorrow, and if they don't have what I want, looking at WynnBeds!

I've heard that about nightclub noise, but hate to face north; I'm rather sun-obsessed. What if I got a higher room? Or do you not even get a choice of which way you face with a "Resort" room?
    I want room 2201! :D

    Keep talking!

One other tidbit not yet mentioned: the spa. I am not really a fan of the Wynn side spa. But the Encore spa is probably my second favorite on the Strip. Worth the time and money if you are in to that kind of thing. Have fun

The 2 comped buffets (note sometimes they do NOT do the tourney on Sundays for some reason), are 2 buffets for whatever meal you want so redeeming them for dinner is of course makes them the better deal given the cost of the dinner buffet. When I was there from 12/25 to 12/29 the slot tourney was running but there was a black out period for redeeming the buffets because it was the holidays. BUT, they noted the buffets I earned in my account -- I earned 6 -- and they are there for your next visit, I believe for up to a year -- so I've got 6 already when I return to Vegas in April and I'll be treating three other people to a buffet at least 2 times, possibly 3.

Yes, they still have the show on the Lake of Dreams. I too love it.

I don't like nightclub noise either but I am one of those folks that VERY MUCH wants a STRIP view in Vegas, so I request a south strip view (love the lights at night and mountains at sunrise) but I request a high floor as I heard that helps to lessen the impact of any club noise. A couple of times I have heard club noise very faintly. I would sacrifice a little noise for the strip view, but that's me. I contrast that to when I stayed at Flamingo over NYE and the base was really throbbing from a club that I was in Cromwell. THAT was really annoying.

Comped coffee only if in Tower Suites but no big deal. I'm looking forward to trying the Encore Lobby Bar for the first time and I'm sure you'll enjoy that lounge for a light breakfast or a snack during the day or night!

There is a LOT of info about both Wynn and Encore on the website. I would check it out. Here are the links for the Encore Lobby Bar and the Eastside Lounge. Normally you can view the Encore Lobby Menu though it is not up there at the moment.

I like a strip view too, but does anybody know - does Resort room mean facing one way or the other, OR does it mean a lower floor? I'm plinking around on Room77.com, and looks like lower floor ?

All the info is in my last trip report if you want to dig it up. But it's anyone with a redcard after you earn 500points in a day
