Going out in March with wife. Which do people think is better? Any advice and why you feel that way would be greatly appreciated.

    I would pick Vdara:

    - newer property
    - close to Aria and Bellagio for the gambling
    - I've heard people have had problems getting comp for play whilst staying at the signature (hotel fees part)
    - Signature requires longer walk/distance to casino than Vdara to Aria casino
    - I like the restaurants better at Aria than at MGM (Signature), a lot of restaurants at Aria are open for lunch whereas at MGM only dinner

Even though I have not stayed at Vdara, I would still choose Vdara. We stayed at MGM Signature a couple of years ago and it was a long walk to everthing. I guess I like being closer to a casino. I think I am going to give Vdara a try in April. I go out on business with a couple of other people who don't gamble and don't like walking through a casino to get to their hotel room so Vdara seems like a good choice.

I've stayed at both Vdara and the Signature. My preference is for Vdara for the following reasons:

-Walk (or tram it) 5 minutes and you can be in Aria, Bellagio, Cosmo, or Monte Carlo.
-I think Vdara's rooms are nicer
-The walk to the Signature blows. When I'm in Vegas I hop around the strip for meals, shows, clubs, etc. So doing that walk multiple times a day is a little rough.

You can't go wrong with either choice. Both are quiet and smoke-free but I think Vdara edges the Signature out.

I haven't stayed at the Signature, but I have at the Vdara and really enjoyed my stay there. Great location, and an easy walk to Aria, Bellagio or Cosmo.

I really like the Vdara. You've got very close access to the casinos at Aria and Bellagio, as mentioned above, and the rooms are large and new. Some fantastic views, as well. It's a nice oasis away from the hectic casinos.

My wife and I have stayed at both properties several times.

It should depend on what type of trip your going for.

We've had terrific stays at the Signature and I would suggest that you opt for the full one-bedroom v.s. the Junior one-bedroom. They provide a huge bathroom with a large jetted tub, a full kitchen, a separate living room area with a bathroom with a shower. Granted the location isn't great if you're walking, but with a rental car it's a easy trip to the strip and beyond.

The Vdara has nice rooms, not nearly as spacious, but it has a terrific mid-strip location with an easy walk to Bellagio, Aria, Cosmopolitan, etc.

I think it really depends on the importance you'd place on the room itself.

Which ever one you select you'll be staying in a great property...Have a great trip

We've stayed in both and they each have their advantages. Vdara is in a better location. It's newer and thus has a newer more modern decor. Walking from the street back to your room is probably a similar walk, but it's nicer to walk back to Vdara b/c there is less dead space to go through. You're walking through shops, or a casino and have stuff to see. Walking back to the Signature via the corridor from MGM or walking on Harmon Ave is boring.

Comparing the studio rooms in each, The Signature feels more spacious, and has a much more luxurious bathroom. I love their big jetted tub and huge shower, and the separate room for the toilet. Based on their bathroom, I give a slight edge of the Signature. This probably won't matter unless you're going in the summer, but I prefer the pools at the Signature too. Each of the 3 towers has it's own pool, and you can use any of them in addition to the MGM pool. It's much more spacious. The Vdara pool is smaller and the whole area feels more cramped. It's easier to get a lounge chair in the shade at Vdara though b/c they have a lot more umbrellas, but the chairs are practically on top of each other.

You can't really go wrong with either choice, in my opinion. They are both very nice hotels; just depends on what you're looking for. Personally, in the future, I'd probably pick between the two based on the price.

ive stayed at both and for this upcomming trip we booked the 1 bedroom at the signiture, my wife is a stickler for nice rooms and we enjoy the walk back to the room as a nice "cool off" from gambling/drinking.

dollar for dollar the signiture is a nicer room and a better bang for the buck, but the vdara is more in the middle of everything, so if you care more about location then go vdara and if you care more about nice accomindations go signiture, you cant go wrong with either

Stayed several times at both. My preference is vdara because of the location, but if you have a car or don't mind some walking, signature is pretty darn nice.

Planning to be mostly center strip all trip, then vdara. Planning to do south strip or take advantage of the monorail to go north, then signature is a pretty good option.

I have spent a few nights at both and would definitely pick Vdara.
Location is better and property newer.
After two days at Signature I hated the trek to the casino and back and I actually don't mind walking.
If you are in Tower 3(longest walk) it feels like 2 miles and 15 minutes each way.

I've never stayed at the Signature. But I have stayed at Vdara. If I could afford Vdara everytime out to Vegas, I would stay there. We just came back from Vegas last week after a 3 night stay. Hadn't been back in a year due to a motorcycle related injury I had. But, we are going back in March and will be staying at Vdara this time.

Having stayed at both, I like Signature far better. The bathroom & balcony seals the deal for me. Plus, rates are less. Sure, Vdara is newer and has a more central location, but it's not enough to sway me. It doesn't help that we had a bed bug incident at Vdara. Since it can happen anywhere, I try not to let it sway my opinion of the properties overall. It really comes down to the two person tub for me.
