I've been going to Vegas since 2011. Primarily at MGM properties and I book all my trips through Bob Rosati's New Jersey International office.

Every trip I've booked through them, I've gotten a limo.

This upcoming trip, they denied a limo. I can easily get Lift/Uber and pay less than the $20 I tip the limo driver.

    My offer this time is:

    Mandalay Bay
    3 nights in a suite
    $150 freeplay
    $1000 food n beverage
    Spa access for 2.

Anyone experiencing similar things with MGM?

What I did before booking my trip through Bob was to go on the mlife website and saw from there that I could book 3 nights in the 2 - bedroom Panoramic King room, which is the most expensive room on the site.

In the past, Bob has always put me in lower level suites at Mandalay, even though I request bigger ones, and I've been told by Mandalay hosts that I qualify for better rooms.

Does anyone know how I'd break off my association to Bob Rosati's office and begin to cultivate individual host relationships at each property?

I've tried before and hosts say they can't do anything because I'm coded to Bob, as if there's no way to ever code me to another host. :(

    Thanks!

How does one get coded to Bob Rosati?

What if you call VIP services direct and tell you want to book an offer? And that you do NOT want to use that host if it comes up.

Maybe his "cut" is the reason you get the lower suites?

I've always arranged all my trips through Bob's office. They are located in New Jersey and book all MGM properties worldwide.

I don't know how the MGM systems work for these codes, except that it seems impossible to get me removed from Bob. :(

    Actually, I've found the opposite.

I was a Platinum member "left" Mlife last year and switched to CET for a number of reasons.

I was disappointed with not being able to get a comp offer unless I actively played at the property (Aria and Bellagio).

So, now I'm gold level and what happens? I get a comp offer for a two night stay at ANY property. Since I only stay 2-3 nights on a trip, that fits my needs.

I do remember once when I was "working" my host at MGM Grand and CET that I was getting much better FP offers at V/P and Wynn. CET stepped up and matched the $600 FP offer, MGM said "no, but we'd consider it based on your play.".

I had the same problem last week at MGM. We went there for a slot tournament and wanted to stay an extra night, so 4 nights total. They gave me a suite and 350 dollars resort credit. I am not sure what type of suite, but it was probably the lower suites. I have always gotten 4 nights comped before, but my host would not comp upfront this time. During our stay we put about 30,000 dollars coin in through the slot machine and I played BJ 100 a hand for about 10 hours over the 4 days. We lost about 1200 dollars. I emailed my host to see if she would comp the suite for the last night and the rest of the food that was on the bill. It was only a little over 300 for the rest. I was told I could use my express comps. I have never had to use them before, that is my coffee money. I guess they are going to require you use them first before any additional comp.

Same thing happened to me on my last trip to Bellagio. I had $300 food n beverage and my charges came to about $525. Host took the extra out of my Express Comps. He's never done that before. He's always picked them up. That was first indication things are changing at MGM properties.

My Bellagio offer is still very good - but is less than my last year's spring offer - and that's with me earning 220,000 tier credits on my last 3 day stay. My suite type went from Bellagio to Salone, and I didn't get the $200 in birthday free play that i normally get.

Kimsa - I find it hard to believe that you don't qualify for a limo. I suggest you call VIP services and try to book direct with them. The worst they can do is refer you back to your current host or I can PM you my mandalay host and you can speak to him and see if he has any way to help you change.

I did hear something several months ago about MLife considering moving to a more "CET" model and using express comps before adding back end comps. I have not been given any confirmation that it's been implemented.

Elf, I was thinking of doing that before my trip. I have a bunch of emails I've gotten from hosts at MB. I'll call someone and let you know.

That is strange to denied the LIMO?

I still get offers from ARIA and MGM, but I can't book anything. All rooms are full. I'm on MGM black list.

Marketing is still sending offers, but I can't book my.

I think all casinos are tightening up on all comps.

I have had a hard time at MB recently. Use to get nice offers of a suite, resort credit and free play from my host. When I tried booking back around Christmas time for my March trip, he would only give me two nights free for a five night trip and some ludicrous rates. I told him to pound sand as my average bet and amount of play had gone up considerably. I was debating the Cosmo or TI (they were offering me the farm). However, after the New Year, we got a very nice offer from MB again with the usual comps. We ended up booking MB but I think I going to play more at the Cosmo this trip. My old Bellagio host is now at the Aria and wants me to try them again but the wife hates the place because of the bad experience she had.

Definitely declining offers for me, too, and I'm a lower level player than others in this thread. I used to get three nights comped at Aria/Bellagio with $300 or so resort credit. Now it's two with maybe $100-$150 in resort credit. And that's after having upped my play during 2015. Just a data point that maybe shows the PGP goes top-down to all players.

If there's any dark humor in this move, it's that table players are guaranteed back-end comps, mostly because we won't be earning any express ones. :-/

Fall/Winter last year I got a big boost (for me) in comp offers from Aria, but since then I haven't gotten a single email or mailer from them. Thinking about a Spring trip and will call VIP if maybe there is an offer I missed. Not sure why I'm all of the sudden off the list.

Still get Mlife and Mirage offers though, roughly the same as the year prior.

FWIW, I spent some time talking to a supervisor in the Aria HL last week who has been with the company since TI opened. He confirmed what we already know: MGM is cutting back on comps for players. We talked about all the publicly known stuff and how nobody (employees included) is a fan of the new parking plan. He then told me that marketing is using new algorithms to try and identify how much they can cut comps for players at distinct levels, yet still keep them coming back.

Understood. The limo cost is about $130 for round trip, less even as a comp? But they give $1000 f&b? Makes me feel less obligated to play as much at MGM properties and will probably focus more play than usual at Cosmo.

Forgot to mention my MGM offer is $750 f&b and includes the limo. I had 2 horrible experiences at MGM and don't want to stay there anymore.
