So I got to thinking the other day, that I've only played the Don't on a standard 3x4x5x table. I always play the don't and don't come bets with the full 6x odds. However, I was curious what the odds limits are on the don'ts on a 10x table, 100x table, or a 2x table? Is it still the standard 6x? Anyone have any insight?

A max odds bet is always based on the max you are allowed to win. That's why on a 3x4x5x table, to make a max odds bet you always bet six times your don't bar wager. So, for example, if the table odds are 10x and you make a $10 bet on the don't pass bar, that means the most you're allowed to win on the odds bet is $100 (ten times the bar wager). If $100 is the most you're allowed to win, then a max odds wager would be $200 on a point of 4 and 10, $150 on a point of 5 and 9, and $120 on a point of 6 and 8 (each of those odds wagers would pay $100 if you win). That's because the payouts on an odds don't bet are the opposite of the pass line.

Makes sense. Like I said I was just thinking about it and I've never played the DP on anything but your standard 3x4x5x table, so 6x across the board on the DP.

That is not true, you are allowed to bet $1.20 on the dont pass odds per dollar you have on the dont pass line per multiple of odds, the only exception is the 3x 4x 5x when they treat the odds as 5x for the dont pass (ie let you bet $1.20 5x or $6 per dollar bet)

ie for 3x 4x 5x you are allowed to bet $30 on odds for every $5 you bet on dont pass,

for 10x odds you are allowed to bet $60 on dont pass odds per $5 on dont pass

for 20x odds you are allowed to bet $120 on dont pass odds per $5 on dont pass

for 100x odds you are allowed to bet $600 on dont pass odds per $5 on dont pass

for 1000x odds you are allowed to bet $6000 on dont pass per $5 on pass

Think about what you would be paid if you made the odds bet on the PASS. If you bet $10 with $100 odds (10x) Those odds would get paid $200 on the 4-10, $150 on the 5-9, and $120 on 6-8.

When betting DON'T, you have to place odds $200/$150/$120 to get paid $100.

    Thus, UKFanatic is correct.
