While we were snowed in this weekend, I watched Midnight Run on Showtime. This was the first time I watched the movie in about 25 years. I forgot how funny this movie was. Dennis Farina deserved an Academy Award. I forgot the movie was partly filmed in Vegas. It was interesting to see Vegas before the themed resorts. Highly recommend this movie if you have never seen this.

Been a very long time since I've seen that movie. Loved it even when I watched it in my teens. I remember Robert Deniro in it

Great flick. And the only thing I like Charles Grodin in. I just looked him up - he's 80...

Was a great movie. One of my favorites. Side note... my sister lives in Sedona AZ. We were visiting while it was being filmed there and around. Was a lot of activity in the sky and road blocks messing up our travels :)

Funny you should mention that. Charles Grodin played an elderly smart ass doctor on Louie. I had no idea who it was until I saw the credits. Yes, he is old.

A very underrated movie that holds up well over time. The last time I watched it was probably about a year ago but I still really enjoy it. It is one of the few movies that I own on DVD.

I love the fact it's just before cellphones started to catch on. I forgot how omnipresent payphones used to be in the late 80s early 90s.

One of my all-time favorite movies. It's got it all – humor, adventure, action, sentimentality. If you've never seen it, watch it!

Loved the scene with the "Litmus Configuration".

What casino was Dennis Farrina in? It might have been the Trop but that's just my best guess.

Oh man, this is my #1 favorite movie. Love everything about it. It's also fun if you're a fan of swearing (I am).

RIP Dennis Farina. Always thought it would be fun to do a sequel, maybe Seranno finally gets out, and comes looking for Jack and John again. But best to leave it alone.

It is cool if you haven't seen it in a while, the old Vegas scenes are great.

Ha! Now that's an interesting statistic. Although I'm also pretty fond of "slimeball in a sea of pus".

To those who've not seen the movie, don't dismiss it as just a goofball buddy comedy. I don't know a lot about filmmaking, but my impression here is that Martin Brest directed brilliantly, perfectly balancing the comedy and the action, and every scene feels genuine. There's brilliant acting work going on here; by the end of the movie you really care about these guys.

Anyway, like I said I'm a big fan, so take it for what it's worth.

One of my favorites. DeNiro is great in an unusual role for him. Charles Grodin acts like Charles Grodin, which is to say great!
