Anyone attend the Porn convention this year

Just wondering if anyone attended the Porn convention this year and how it was.

Since the porn convention is a couple weeks after the CES I'm not able to make an extended trip to attend both conventions anymore.

But then lately the convention was a little lame, not many freebies and the auditorium they have most of the starlets is totally packed so not very enjoyable IMHO.

 

I went to one here in Chicago not on the level of AVN but it was interesting to say the least. Very diverse crowd. The wife and I still talk about it. I am not into meeting people etc... but there was one girl I was...turned out she was porn the day after me... so when I told her this most interesting factoid my wife still says I looked like a little school boy!

It honestly had more people like my wife and I than I expected.

 

What good is a porn convention without any freebies

 

From what I'm (not) seeing here freebies might not be allowed.

 

actually in prior porn conventions there were a number of "wannabee" starlets trying to get noticed by the porn producers. These girls were dressed to kill and be noticed and some of them did end up in the adult movies and adult industry. Made good picture taking for us guys since these girls offered some of a "show" just to get noticed.

Unfortunately lately the freebies aren't as common as before. 5 years ago you could score free t shirts, free photos and autographs and sometimes free videos and "toys". The last porn convention I attended (2 years ago) I didn't see them passing out many free t shirts and they started charging for photos and autographs of the more popular porn starlets.

Bittorrent and other file sharing has hit their industry especially hard. Plus supply is greater than ever since its so much less taboo. That's why the big companies out there now are the webcam sites. Everyone's gotta hustle for that dollar and swag hurts the bottom line.
