How likely are back end comps at Caesar's? I have been loyal to m life primarily MGM Grand for the many years as a result I have not paid for a room since my very first trip to vegas. A normal offer that I get from MGM is 3 anytime nights, $200 resort credit, $75 freeplay, and show tickets. When I booked my upcoming trip MGM was still offering smoking optional rooms and that's what I booked, now since reading here I've come to find out that they have gone completely non smoking. Guess they plan on letting me know at check in. Anyhow, my husband wants to move to Caesars because of this, since we have no relationship with ceasars/total rewards well have to pay for the room up front. So if play is same as at MGM do you think we'll likely get the room comped at the end?

Dollar amount varies but play is primarily slots and a little VP, we'll mess around playing a little here and there during the day then after dinner we'll hit it hard for normally 5 to 7 hours non stop.

CET generally is, IMO, among the most generous when it comes to room comps. No guarantees of course and Caesars will be harder. It also depends on the day of the week, value of the comped room at the time, etc., but depending on the coin in I think you have a good chance of the room being comped for 3 nights on the back end based on the standard offer you receive from MGM.

Thanks for the reply. Kind of excited to try something new but also extremely hesitant. Just got so comfortable at MGM.

You sound like us as far as offers and play. Our last trip we did one night at PH to get on the CET radar. As it was only one night and we stopped play late and left early, it wasn't worth the hassle to try to get the charges comped. Based on that one night play we both are getting offers similar to what we get at MLife, with my wife's offers better as she plays more slots. I would suggest to get as much info as you can from the Total Rewards booth. Their system seemed screwy to me, but I was exhausted as it was our last night there and I wanted to get home to finally sleep.

The truth is upfront offers based on previous play are often way more generous than they should be for most players.

So unless you know you have some pretty strong play, heading to a new property at full freight and hoping on the backend to get it comped is asking for disappointment.

If you haver ZERO history at CET, you may not get much on the first trip at what I am guessing is your level of play.

Stay at MGM this time, but play at CET to get rooms for your next trip.

Won't be disappointed, I know it's a very strong possibility.

This is what I feel would likely be the best route to take.

(Not a shill, honest!) I'm a gold level Mlife player and fancied a change as my GF wants to stay at Caesars this next trip but I have zero play at any CET casino.

Found some info from a poster on YouTube who I subscribe to and managed to secure 4 nights comped upfront at Caesars Palace in a Palace deluxe room (no F&B or FP). I had to send them a photo of my Mlife card and screen grab of a current offer but within about 7-10 days they had me confirmed and the booking is showing on the TR website after I entered the booking ref. I didn't pass along any credit card or sensitive info to secure the room. All looks legit to me.

Search google for the Urcomped website if you want to try it, I figure they're independent hosts of sorts or earn a referral fee, either way I'm happy.

I visit Vegas 2 to 4 times a year and have a host at Caesars, I call her tell her when I am coming and she always comps me a room for the entire week in the Augustus tower. In March last year we went with some friends who have no history with Caesars, never been to the USA, they booked a room in Flamingo for the week, (I think it averaged out something like $60 a night) and he signed up to TR the day they arrived. He is not a big player, he only took $2000 with him for the week, he played on slots every night (max bet $1 a spin) and he played a little BJ, maybe 3 hours BJ for the entire 7 days. He blew his $2,000 but obviously played through more than that, let's say $5.000 (maybe more).

On the morning of checkout I told him to speak to VIP services / Casino Host on the floor to see if they could comp him anything for his play, they comped him 3 nights of his 7 nights.

I hope that gives you an idea, you should be able to compare / cross reference your play to his to give you an idea of what you may get.

    I agree.
I am no expect on comps. Based on my own plays at Mlife, on most of my trips my theo's are barely enough to cover the "room + up front FP + resort credits".
I am talking about my total trip theo, not 30-35% of it which you will get at the back end.

Yes I've seen this, deal breaker for me is when booking through them there is generally a minimum play requirement and if you don't meet the minimum they specified they reserve the right to charge you the going rate for the room at the end. Make sure you check out the fine print. You may not have had to give them a credit card but when checking in one will be required. Just a heads up don't want you to wind up getting screwed. I play for fun and don't want to have to keep track and make sure I meet someone's expectations. My host a MGM has bent over backwards to try to accommodate me this trip so we will stay at MGM and give Caesars, Paris, etc. Some play to get on their radar.

Unless you have a specific host, they will give you the basics.
At least this was our experience this past trip.

Hi Slots, my in-laws smoke, so I TOTALLY get all non-smoking being a deal breaker. I don't know on Caesars, but I have one idea on mlife properties you might not guess that's pretty close to Caesar's: Aria. I always played/stayed at Monte Carlo, played a bit at Aria, and immediately had 3 nights free for the next trip. I figured it was a one time deal, used the comped nights (and loved my stay), and now have 3 nights in a suite for my next trip! For being 5 star, they're surprising generous, and they can go off your Mlife record if you call Mlife's Aria VIP services. (Has to be through Mlife's VIP services at Aria, the front desk won't be able to access your Mlife stats.) And I'm a lower-to-moderate roller.

IF you're open to Aria vs. Caesars, they're mlife, so you very well could score front end comps versus backend. I'd call their VIP services and see if they'd give you any upfront comps/match your MGM offer---worst they'll say is no. (And they DO have smoking rooms, as least last I went.) I have been shocked how generous they are, and they're definitely aggressive about winning over new players. I also really, REALLY love their service, they genuinely bust themselves to give you a great trip.

Personally, I feel front-end comps make the trip a little nicer, as you're not stuck worry about how big the final bill will be. Plus there's a tram to Bellagio and your hubby can trot over to Caesars. You could possibly still stay free (At Aria), play at Caesars, and win future rooms Caesars versus gambling on backend comps. Or, you might just fall in love with Aria as I have done.... and I haven't paid for a room there yet :D :D :D

Thank you, will check it out but I kinda thought aria was the first to go smoke free.

Ack, so sorry slots. I just checked, they are smoke free.

I thought it was just the suites that were smoke-free, but you're right, smoking is allowed in the casino but not rooms.

My in laws are usually rabid about smoking rooms only...sorry for the misdirection!

Hi slots4fun - thanks for the feedback! We've heard that concern from a few folks and we DO now offer guaranteed upfront comps for players, provided we can verify some play history via their tier cards, current offers, hosts, etc. If we don't have enough to feel confident that the player will hit the minimum comp threshold that our casino partner casino sets, then we'll extend a one-time "play to qualify" offer where the player does have to hit the minimum threshold.
We have to do our due diligence because if we lose our credibility with our casino partners we're hosed, but we also understand that conditional comps are a turnoff for players (ironically, especially for the players that would blow the minimum requirements away). So now it'll be crystal clear if the offer you receive from UrComped is upfront or "play to qualify"...
Would that put some of your concerns at ease? Would love to hear your feedback so we can get better. Thank you!!

Just to confirm what Craig said, the offer I received and booked did not come with a minimum required play level.

Hosts at Caesars tend to be less inviting than hosts at other cet properties. My CET host is based out of harrahs and is much more helpful at comping Caesars than my old Caesars host was. I think it just comes with the territory of being a host at CETS highest end property.
