    My Trip Report

I had the day off yesterday, so a friend and I decided to take a day trip to Caesars AC. We got there around 11:30 am, so we decided to hit the slots before lunch. I played my usual dollar slots and started with the Pretty Princess Unicorn or whatever game, because I won a bunch on it on our visit last month. It hoovered up everything I threw at it. So, I switched to Wild Africa, because I had decent luck on that machine previously as well. No dice on that one either. Unfortunately, luck wasn't with me, so I lost my bankroll pretty quickly. Oh, well. I usually only win once out of every three visits, so I guess there's always next time.

I had free buffet passes, so we went there for lunch. Unfortunately, I am on a new fitness plan because my doctor says my cholesterol is way too high, so I couldn't pig out like I usually do. No milkshakes either and they finally had the milkshake machine set up. Oh, how you mock me, Caesars. There is enough variety in the buffet that I was able to stay on my diet and have lots of rabbit food and some lean turkey. Good stuff.

After that, we used a GroupOn deal to get tickets for Ripley's Believe It Or Not. Check GroupOn if you are planning a visit, because the current deal is two tickets for $22 (instead of $16.99 per ticket) plus two admittances for their Laser Maze, which is like that laser scene from "Entrapment" where Catherine Zeta-Jones had to step over, slide under, and limbo through laser beams without touching them. That was fun. My friend was also ecstatic over the fact that Ripley's AC has the Fiji Mermaid of P.T. Barnum fame.

We got back to Caesars in the late afternoon and I picked up the day's free gift, which was a Brookstone Nap Throw blanket. Nice consolation prize for losing my bankroll so quickly.

We'll be heading back to try our luck again on President's Day next month and paying a visit to the AC Aquarium because we have free passes through AAA. If you want free passes and discounts on a bunch of stuff too, visit the tourism booth in The Walk outlets next to the T-Mobile store.

Yeah, like I said before, you can't win them all. I tripled my bankroll on my last visit, so I can't complain too much. Hopefully, Lady Luck will be with me next month.

Better luck next time, you cant win them all is true. Mrs. JG as I stated before has been doing well as of late,I,on the other hand cant win jack-shit.Caesars seems to keep the hotel in tip-top shape so at least it's a nice place to stay. When we visited last week I hit the happy hour at Gordon Ramseys, half price on pints of good draft. I dont know much about the food there but the restaurant has eye appeal.

Thanks for the write up, I always like to hear how others DO AC. I am a AAA member in PA and will have to see if I can get these tickets for the Aquarium. I have been lucky at a nickel three hand Bonus VP over at Bally's.

jerseyguy, thanks for the heads up re: Gordon Ramsay Happy Hour, they usually have a good selection of pints, and it's just off the lobby for people watching. I like Harry's Oyster Bar happy hour over at Bally's, 4-6:30 Monday-Friday with drink specials and Buck a Shuck oysters. Love me a dozen oysters and an IPA, doesn't get much better.

Got an offer from Tropicana for a rare Friday night comp tonight, but the impending snow storm will keep us close to home. Tomorrow would be a great day to watch the snow fall into the ocean inside the pier in front of Caesars.

Thanks for the trip report. I go to AC 7-8 times a year so it really nice read AC reports, especially at casinos that I've never been.

I was planning to go this weekend as well but the damn storm......
