Bourne 5 Filming in Vegas This Week

Not sure where this would go but I figure since this is about the Strip and Hotels it might be fitting here. According to an on-line report Bourne 5 is filming this week on the Strip and Aria is mentioned by an extra as being included in the filming. I'd suspect the entire area around Aria from this weekend until the 20th might be pretty locked down for a bit while filming goes on.

I love the series and cant wait to see this new one. Adding Vegas to the movie just adds to my excitement

 

Pretty stoked about this movie, especially with Matt Damon back.

It's always cool to see a place you know fairly well on TV/in a movie. Modern Family had an episode at Mandalay Bay a year or two ago that was cool to watch.

 

Yeah, the last one without him was a let down. Glad he is back.

 

I love the Hangover III simply because of the Vegas strip views. So much to see in the last part of the movie and when I show my parents they are like "did you go there? Did you go there? Did you see that? Did you eat there?"

I love it.

Plus it gives me somethings to check out and visit when I am off strip like the pawn shop and a few other places.

 

Apparently they filmed in London a few months ago. I had an Uber black car driver in London tell me (1) to visit Turkey, his home country; (2) that he was a bodyguard and driver for Arab princes; and (3) that he was an extra for Bourne 5, playing the role of a bookie with a brown coat. I'm not sure if I was playing two truths and a lie, but he sounded credible.

Will do. I'm really psyched for the trip (I was anyway), but this makes it something more to look forward to. I don't know if I'm going to be bored all day or if there is something to keep us entertained. They way I figure it, if I could sign up at this late date, there are probably many extras needed for that day. Crowd scene?

 

I'm going to be there from the 22nd until the 25th which unfortunately looks like it's out of the dates they will be filming. Oh well. Have fun Zen and yes please let us know if you are cast and how it goes!

 

They're supposed to email me details in the next few days. With the location and what to wear. I'll let you know what they tell me.
Also, they're hyping the fact that there is free food and a prize draw.

 

We went to Aria I think Tuesday, they had a huge area of the Casino blocked off, kind of a mess, didn't stay long. I was wondering what movie they were filming

 

I'm kinda bummed...I read about the filming taking place throughout the month of Feb, it sounds like they are ahead of schedule. I wanted to maybe catch a glimpse while we are there! Looks like they'll be way done by then

It will be a major pain in the ass to deal with. Commercial shoots are bad enough. I am very glad I won't be there then.

 

LV Blvd is restricted. Don't see any actors. Looks like they're just filming car chase/stunts. See cars just going while a truck films. Then they go reverse and do it all over and over again.

 

Glad I am not there while this crap is going on.

 

I was at Aria during the filming last week and it wasn't that bad. I was worried about the closing of a few blocks of the Strip, but they only did that in the evenings on slower weeknights. Everyone seemed to get around it without much delay
