This is for the sake of curiosity and a discussion with a co-worker. If you have RFB comps at a Las Vegas hotel, does this include the mini-bar in the room? As if I don't have more important things to think about.
Within reason, yes. If your emptying the whole thing every day, then youll pay. Otherwise, your fine.
You may or you may not. There are plenty of RFB players that can cover emptying the minibar daily. If your play permits, they'll comp-off capuchin monkey jockeys racing greyhounds in your Presidential suite. Nick
Which casino comps capuchin monkey jockeys racing greyhounds in a suite? I clearly need to switch casinos.
I have a Bellagio marketing offer that just said Food and Beverage credit with no amount. When I reserved with VIP services, I was told it was $350/day. I'll ask when I check in late this month at the VIP desk what is included and what is excluded.
That's my typical offer from Bellagio, and I always pick through the mini-bar when leaving. I don't take that much 3 or 4 bottles of the small booze - depending on what I can fit in my liquids bag. Plus chips, nuts, gummy bears, and a few chocolate things out of the fridge.
Doh! I didn't think of this a couple trips ago when I looked at my bill on checkout and realized I didn't use like $150 of my resort credit. Should have raided the mini fridge!
I know for a fact that some resort credits at CET can possibly exclude in room alcohol. I have used a resort credit at Aria for in room mini bar though. Always best to ask at checkin. The lady at Cromwell last week read me all the exclusions right there.
Sorry. Bad answer. Years past, RFB was very open ended. For very high end players, it might still be. They once used the term RFL, so you knew there was a limit. Sometimes if was still very open, but did not include high end restaurants. Once we could not use the top end at Bellagio, but we could empty the mini bar daily. For most people these days, RFL or RFB all have daily dollar limits. ASK before finding out the hard way.
This is my experience. Back in the day when I had rfb, it was all fully comped without a monetary limit.
I wouldn't call my answer a bad answer. They said RFB, so I answered to the traditional terminology. Obviously, I should have asked for a more specific example, because their interpretation wasn't really accurate. If you have a credit on your portfolio, whether 150/day or 350/day it will cover mini bar charges up to that limit at most properties. Now, I was possibly wrong on certain props that may have exclusions, which I am sure they would cover upon check-in. Almost all RFB has some daily limit on it nowadays, as mentioned.
to the OP: Not a dumb question at all. People make some wild ass assumptions sometimes. But, the validity or usefulness of the title leaves a little room for improvement. Always helps when it is descriptive. By the way, I am guessing your questions just helped some folks.
