The question really is, can I do Vegas with 4000$ US because of ridiculous exchange rate and still keep my room offers from Boyd and CET ?
Remember this is an 11 day trip. I have never been to Vegas with less than 8000$ for 10 day trips. I know I shouldnt be worried about the comps. I play 70% BJ 20% VP 10% 3 card poker. Any suggestions ? I have purchased ACG and LVA.

Easily, I have gone 5 times now for 7-10 days and the most I had was $4,000. Just don't go for Steak dinners every night(unless it's Ellis Island etc) and you will be fine.

Just a matter of dropping your daily budget, I've started the envelope system and worked perfectly apart from one blowout of $1700 in one day(used winnings from previous day+envelope).

I don't play blackjack but with your budget I would have thought a $10 table would be well within budget, though you might not get the same buzz you get with larger bets.

All the best with your trip anyway.

EDIT: Sorry, I should have mentioned about making all your play in Boyd/CET properties to keep your ADT up.

My strategy with a reduced bankroll is too have 2 different itineraries. One ityinerary has me doing more sight seeing during the early part of the trip to save my BR, and one has more gambling and less traveling around Vegas.

Both itineraries give me a nice bit of gambling on day 1 to get my fix in.

After day 1, and how successful my gambling is, I choose the itinerary that fits my bankroll.

If my luck is not too strong early, then I stick to venturing out to see more and gamble less. My goal is always to have plenty of money on the last few days to ensure my whole trip does not feel short changed.

When I'm in Vegas on my own, I tend to just play alot. I come and go by limo, so I don't rent a car. I'm RFB at CET, so I usually mostly eat at CET properties.

I was there with someone this past week who had a car and it was a totally different trip. We have a list of things we want to see or do and restaurants we want to eat at. When we want a change of pace from gambling, we can just have a look at our list. We had a good mix of gambling, restaurants off property and touristy things like the High Roller. I like having the list so we're not sitting around saying......now what do we do?

If just holding onto the rooms is your biggest concern, I would think you'd be okay with $4k (roughly $400 food/gaming budget per day). I would shoot for lower variance/lower denomination games and play longer per day if you have the time if you're looking to not take a big ADT hit.

I'd probably keep 3CP to a minimum. Pair Plus is costly and swingy. More bj and more Bonus Poker or JoB than DDB.

And try to eat cheaper food if food is part of the $4k. And remember to use you points when you can!

Yeah I would think so especially downtown.

During our first couple trips to Vegas my gambling bankroll was $400 per day and $400 for other stuff...and this was on the strip.

Oh variance wise, regular deuces wild isn't too bad. I just assume most people play DDB since most people love the DDB crack...lol

If you're a bartop kind of guy, they have 25/15/9/4/4/3 Deuces (98.91%) on the new Superstar machines at the Mardi Gras Bar at Orleans. But bartops at CET are quite bad for deuces 25/15/10/4/3/2 (94.82%), I'd avoid those.

Thanks Tringlomane...I used to spend a good portion of my trips on the FPDW at Sams Town, but I have recently read that they got rid of the bank of 10 near the movie theatre. :(

I cried because I had no shoes, until I saw a man who had no feet.

Yes, a fun trip is possible with this bankroll, have a great time, and when you win, the exchange rate will be in your favor.

I am jealous, wish I had a trip planned, but *sigh*, I do not. Hope you win enough to open a US currency account to fund your next adventure.

I work with several Canadians and the decline in the exchange rate has been very difficult, one guy has a business in Western Canada and has to import products from the US for resale. The business conditions have softened and he is forced to charge higher prices while the pie is shrinking.

Still two quarter units left according to VPFree. But that would make them a bit difficult to get on sometimes. I dunno how much comp value you'll get out of that game though either, and I know the points are reduced.

Well, I do 4 night 5 FULL days with only $1k for gambling.
I only play craps and sports betting and find $5 tables/ $5 bets and just have fun with it. So, I would say yes.

The key is to find other things to do. Pool, shows, buffet, sports watching, sports betting, lounges, hoes..... That way you get away from the tables.

This part is getting off point.... but.... In my mind, if I wanted to stay at the tables all day, I would not hop a flight to Vegas, I would just go to the casino in Baltimore.

If you are worried about preserving comps I would suggest doing most of your gambling with one casino and low rolling at the other. I wouldn't worry too much about it though just have fun and play what you want where you want and let the comps fall where they may.

yes, you can do it simply. Instead of 2 hookers during the stay cut back to one.

    Haha

No you can't do that. That will destroy the purpose of going to Vegas.
It's worse than cutting your 3 daily meals to just a simple breakfast.
