I have started playing Mississippi Stud at my home casino, but realized I have never played it in Vegas. I usually stay at NYNY, but they don't have it there.

Any mLife properties have MS? Or CET or others?

All of the CET properties have it for sure, I am not sure about the MGM properties though, I know Mirage had it in the past

Only at CT properties and maybe downtown. I know GN had it last year (2014). MGM properties got rid of it late 2014.
Forgot to add Southpoint added a table 1st week of December.
    It is my FAVORITE game.

I wonder why MLife doesn't offer this game. Does Shufflemaster SHFL or whatever they're called nowadays have some deal with CET or something? High Card Flush is starting to be like this too... Does any MLife property have that one either?

This game can be a cruel cruel mistress. 4Q has it, I played last week. Didn't see it at Binions but wasn't looking for it there either. GN still has it as well downtown saw it last week. Played at Circus Circus about 3 years ago.

that game has a really high variance, you generally do horrible, but when you win you do really well. I havnt played it in years though

Of all the table games, I believe it has the HIGHEST variance. I walked by someone hitting quads once at least. $2k payout for min bet.

I equate this game to playing just the Trips Bet on UTH...lol. I have never really done well on this game, but did play it at a local, a few weeks ago, and actually enjoyed it more than I originally did. About a year ago, while I was playing UTH, I saw a guy hit a royal on MS. Not only that, but he also won the progressive side bet, which I think was around $64k. Would you like extra icing on your cake, sir? Uh, yes please!

Yeah, any royal wins the progressive if you make the side bet since there is only five cards you use. That's the other problem of playing MS stud in town here. Most games are connected to the SHFL network side bet. $64k sucks for that bet, fyi. It really needs to be six digits at the minimum. Preferably closer to $150k+ to make it a "fair" bet, imo. General play is "Let it Ride" on steroids though. Variance is worse than UTH though. Many unsure hands you're betting 3X-4X. Winning/pushing hands you bet 7-10X.

Yeah, I always though the side bet was a huge sucker because of the odds of getting a 5 card royal. I believe those odds are about 1:600,000.

Ditto on the variance. I've sat down for an hour and lost $500 playing minimum bet. I've also sat for an hour and won $1200 playing minimum bet without hitting a huge hand.

Horseshoe Hammond in Indiana. Quad 9s I think.

Also have quad Jacks under my belt for play money within a few hundred hands lifetime. I always run great when it's play money. Bah.

Last trip to Vegas it was at Planet Hollywood. I made quite the deposit at that table, but I love it.

So I practiced MS on wizardododds and gave it a shot my last vegas trip. We were in Flamingo and my wife was playing penny slots so I took the one open MS seat and bought in. On my 3rd hand I was dealt a pair of 8. Bet 3x's on each spot. Flopped a K, followed by 8, followed by 8! Bam - Quads - 2K win! Oh I got some mean looks from the tweaker girl next to me. Took my chips, tipped the dealer $50 and was gone! First and only time in Flamingo, although heading back to Vegas in 4 days so I'll have to try a repeat. Agree with the HV as I've learned more about the game - but I'm going to to be up for quite awhile with my low roller play.

Only way to be up at these games is to hit like you did and never play again!
