You know what I'm talking about. You're having fun in the casino, enjoying your drink and your gambling, and then it happens.....THAT song starts playing! You've heard 15 times already this trip, but here it come again!!!

    For me, it's Poker Face.

Some Nights by FUN. I consider it a bad juju song. "Some nights I stay up, cashing in my bad luck. Some nights I call it a draw." Not a song I want to hear in a casino.

    Over and over and over.

Main Street Station is particularly bad at having about an 8 hour loop of songs that repeat.

I don't know pop music, but whatever that song with the choppy Live-My-Life lyrics, followed by some stretched out OOOOO sound. Here it every single time I'm in Aria. :yuck:

One night my normal Vegas crew was off doing something that didn't involve Sonya. My solution was to get totally trashed and play some VP at Cosmo. They had a DJ in that little bar by the big shoe who kept playing this pop-music cookie-cutter music. Carly Rae Whoever, Britney, Katy Perry, etc. I kept saying Boooooo! when he would put on something I didn't like. Eventually we ended up playing a game where he'd try to guess what I wanted to hear. It was quite funny. There weren't that many people there and I think I was the only one who even noticed there was a DJ.

He played some song from the 60's and I shouted over "How old do you think I am?!" He laughed and came back with some AC/DC that received the appropriate level of head banging. He asked where I was from and I said "Near Seattle." Like a pro, he responded with Sir Mix A Lot's 'Baby Got Back' and I literally almost fell off my chair from laughing. I thought for sure he'd go with Nirvana.

Mostly I don't notice (or care) what's playing in the casino as long as I can hear myself think. ;) I think I only notice when a song I like comes on.

I don't notice it too much either during the day.
In fact we were there in late December and don't recall if they played Christmas music or not.
At night I usually have my iPod playing to my own music.

After working in a casino going on four years, I do not even really notice the music or even the sound of slot machines. To me I just hear what I will describe as white noise.

The only time I actually notice the music is when I'm at a resort that doesn't play the same club music that, seemingly, every other casino is playing. There's a few places where I hear some decent R&B or classic rock but they're few and far between.

You mean there is music or song in casinos? I never noticed it.
I only heard slot machines' sound which I liked very much.

I am this way also. What's funny is when I play craps, I don't notice (or hear) any music at all. I'm so focused that everything is blocked out. Of course when the table is hot and everyone is yelling and screaming it doesn't matter anyway.

I can't remember the song but I am pretty sure it was a Katy Perry song -- seemed like it was playing all the time. On a different note if you like classic rock SLS had some great music playing in their casino when we were there in August. I could have sat playing all day for just the music, but we were moving up and down the strip that day.
