We are coming into Vegas mid January and staying for 4 nights...mainly for football playoffs. Would like any suggestions with regard to restaurants close to or in Aria. Also would like to know of any bar specials around that area as well. Does anyone know table limits on Craps at Aria.?

Javiers is amazing Mexican food; JG steakhouse did not live up to expectations for me but we had a fun meal there with a big group (service was very slow); Lift bar is great and right off the casino floor; Five 50 pizza is a great place to grab a snack; gelato at Jean P pastries is really good. The Serrano tapas bar is one of our favorite spots in vegas. Todd English is decent, and its a very close walk to Monte Carlo if you are looking for something different (lower end).
Spa is the best they have some great common areas.
craps limit is usually always $15, and sometimes $25 at night. Again close walk to MC for lower limits.

If you want to go upscale, Sage is fantastic. One of the best on the Strip. And Bardot Brasserie has maybe the best happy hour on the Strip for my money (fantastic food specials) and a great brunch.

I love Aria. Always stay there. I love the restaurants right next door at the Cosmo though.

I'll second Javiers. Love sitting at the bar with chips and salsa and a nice margarita. I haven't had a bad food experience at Aria... seems all of the restaurants are good. Mind the service at the Cafe... it's bad but I love the food there.

I occasionally see $10 tables at Aria, but I haven't quite figured out the pattern to when they appear.

As far as food, I've eaten at every restaurant inside Aria except for BarMasa/Tetsu (which both seem dramatically overpriced to me), and Herringbone (because I haven't been back since it opened), and I think they're all worth visiting. Bardot is my least favorite of the bunch, but I still haven't had a bad meal there; Julian Serrano and Lemongrass are two of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. You can't really go wrong.

I am a huge fan of Todd English pub for lunch or happy hour. Food is good, solid beer selection, and I have great service when sitting at the bar.
The bar also has a 7 second challenge, if you drink a pint in 7 seconds, it's free. Although my chugging days are long past, I gave it a shot one afternoon. The bloated feeling was worth the video my wife took of all the youngsters rooting for this old guy. I felt like frank the tank from old school.

Julian Serrano had a lunch prix fixe that was very good.
    Big fan of 550 pizza.
Carbone is excellent, although the price point is a little high.
As mentioned, the Todd English PUB happy hour is a good deal.
Wolfgang Puck is decent at Crystals, but probably overpriced even for Vegas, mostly just for the name.
Next door at Cosmo, the Estatorio Milos lunch special is awesome if it is still going in 2016.
Hit the Petrossian Bar at Bellagio in the afternoon, for a nice glass of wine, piano music, and top of the line people watching.
The Mandarin Oriental bar is a must, whether in the afternoon when they used to have a happy hour, sunset, or nighttime for the great views and drinks.

Would recommend a trip to the Spa. I think its like $20 or $30 for a guest of the hotel, but they have a nice salt room, hot stone beds, and plenty of jacuzzis. I always go there when staying at Aria.

I've played a lot of $10 craps there, usually midweek day time but did have some into the evenings on my December trip, so maybe the same for your Jan trip.
MC does have lower limits but BJ is all 6:5 on the floor. Craps is a good deal there. They used to open a $5 table in the midday, but $10 is the highest min I've seen there on craps. Their VP is horrendous.
I'm a big fan of VP next door at Cosmo on any of their bar tops, since you can get excellent drinks with good service, and again the people watching is top tier.

Julian Serrano's has a nice happy hour if you like tapas and sangria. I also agree with the comments on very good happy hours at Bardot Brasserie, and Todd English if you like a wide assortment of draft beers from around the world.

I recommend Lemongrass, Javier's, and Five50 if you need a quick bite. Lemongrass is open late. Many of the restaurants there have happy hour, prix fixe, or pre-theater dining specials. I also agree with the other posters about Todd English PUB.

You did not ask, but Cosmo also has a great restaurant line-up and is right next door. They have happy hour deals at many of their joints. I recommend the happy hour specials at Blue Ribbon. I've had great meals at China Poblano, Jaleo, and Holstein's.

Wow! So far these posts are a great help! Have tried Milos next door for lunch and that is in the plan already! Todd English PUB is a definite for either Sat or Sun. Hubby would love to hit bar VP so will try a little play at Aria and then hop next door to Cosmo. Trying to figure out where to do dinner on Friday night when we get in....Is Arai a "Wing it" kind of place for eating at bars....or will we need a reservation somewhere around 6:30pm or 7pm.?

On the high end, Mastro's Ocean Club in Crystals is outstanding for a nice seafood/steak dinner. If your looking for something casual, the buffet at Aria is a good choice. For late night/early A.M. Drunken cuisine, Secret Pizza in the Cosmo
