Looking at staying at the Luxor for an upcoming trip. Consider the Luxor tower Deluxe or the Pryamid Suite. Suite is about 100 more for the 3 nights. What is the difference between pyramid and tower? Any reccomendations?

Pyramid rooms are a bit rough around the edges, and the Inclinator is fun maybe the first time and rickety slow after that. I'd recommend the Tower -- newer furnishings and better windows/views. You might also consider staying next door at Mandalay Bay, where they've recently completed a bunch of room renovations. Better restaurants at Mandalay, too -- don't miss the Border Grill's amazing weekend brunch.

The tower rooms are newer. And the pyramid rooms have a slanted wall (I know, what a total shock), which is kind of odd after the initial novelty wears off. The towers are a bit more of a walk from the casino and restaurants, though

In November my Pyramid room had the most pathetic shower head of any lodging establishment I can recall. The main light in the room was much too bright, too. Otherwise the room was acceptable but no better than that. I've never stayed in the tower, so I can't compare.

I've stayed in the tower a couple times, though not in the last few years. I recall it being a perfectly nice hotel room; it's not a Bellagio villa, but it was a fine, average hotel room. I've heard horror stories about the pyramid, by contrast.

Also, though the towers are a bit of a hike from the main casino floor, one of the towers (the west one, I believe) is very close to the pool complex, which in my opinion is one of the nicer ones on the Strip for a mid-to-low-end property.

    Tower Room without a doubt!

The pyramid rooms are pretty dumpy and the pyramid "suite" is just a larger room with a sitting area. When I stayed in the pyramid suite, the shower leaked like crazy all over the bathroom floor. I stayed in a Tower room in January 2015 and was very impressed, but like UK mentioned, it is a longer walk (but that makes it quieter also)

There are several Youtube videos of a pyramid suite walk through to give you an idea of the "suite"

Strongly recommend you avoid the Pyramid altogether, particularly the suite. The tower rooms are head and shoulders above the pyramid.

Here are photos of my stay in a Player Deluxe room in the tower - I loved this room. Very, very comfy.

And here is the account of the pyramid suite. What a fucking debacle.

I have stayed in both, go for Tower room. And if you go wandering up the floors of the Pyramid, DO NOT lean on the half walls.

Have to concur, while it's kind of "cool" to stay in a pyramid room and use the inclinators the "thrill" wears off fast. The tower rooms are much better.

Agree with everyone else. We have stayed in both over the last several years, and Tower rooms are newer and nicer.
