    My Trip Report

So I'm reporting semi live from Cajun Vegas. Aka lake Charles Louisiana. Host couldn't get us in last night so we came in today. In a decent room. Dinner is comped at their steak house which we are about to enjoy in an hour.

The drive in. Not so bad. A little rain but not real slow down.

Gambling. Not good so far. Two early 4 of a kinds.

    But not much more.

Our view is ok. It's lake chuck, can't expect much.

    Good luck with your trip!

I thought Cajun Counties refers to the area around Lafayette, not including Lake Charles.

Yes. Technically Cajun country is southeast of here. My gf is Cajun. But this isn't far. But they don't have many casinos in Acadiana.

Dinner at the steakhouse was pretty good. Host was able to comp upfront. Ny strip for me and filet for the lady. I highly recommend the crawfish Mac and cheese for a side.

Did the buffet today for lunch before picking up fleece pullover give away. Not as awesome as a satin casino jacket but it'll do. Haha.

Yep. Stayed at ldl. I gave nugget a try but I enjoy the gambling more at ldl. Though I do like that GN is brighter.

I just didn't see the lazy river in the pool picture, so I wasn't sure it was LDL. I haven't been there in a while. The GN was not there at the time. So, it is just right there next door.

I did like LDL, when I was going to Lake Charles. It is a nice place.

I just talked to someone at Bossier that said LDL is still packed on the weekends.

Glad to see you had a few good hits and a good steak.

Good stuff so far! What's the craftiest beer the casinos will comp down there?

Not much there in terms of craft. I stuck with liquor. They will comp Bayou Rum which a locally made spirit. They probably comp Abita but I didn't ask about any beer. I don't think of lake Charles as being a strong craft beer market. Even the beer sold at Ember, the steakhouse, was kind of weak. Bourbon selection was decent. I kept it simple with Bulliet Rye.

Nothing worth a damn on the next hand. Still not sure about the card. It was in my jacket pocket or not sure on the bending. But I did drink a bunch of whiskey and bourbon so that probably had something to do with it. [IMG]

Pretty sure I didn't gamble in the high limit room. Just used the high limit throne for "buisiness"
