I read that Flamingo rooms can be a long trek from the garage, so I'd like to stay at the south tower which looks to be much closer.

Does anyone know if the south tower is a particular room type (Fab or Go), or anything else I should look out for before I book it?

The only rooms which are annoyingly far are over north of the "Habitat" elevators. Some you have to walk north down a long hall from the north elevators and THEN east down a long hall. Those are the only ones I think are too far.

There are both types in the south tower. I would ask for a room facing the pool area vs. south view as you will be getting noise now from the club on top of Cromwell with a south view or the club at Caesars if you manage the strip side facing Caesars.
