Pphold gets the best deal I've heard. 10% on any loss. No comps though.

Nate, just wanted to say thanks for letting us live vicariously through you.

You got to experience one of my favorite singers (Bruno Mars too, but you had to make a Sophie's choice), who normally sells out stadiums, in a small intimate concert setting while sitting feet away. Pretty awesome, imo.

In this case Nate requested that room. But generally people put up with a lot of crap and added expense to stay at Wynn. Whether it's inferior high limit blackjack rules, the craps situation, lower discounts than other properties, lowering limits without notice (they likely did it to a bunch of big players besides Nate in order to lock in a nice fourth quarter earnings report), or generally being treated like just another number when playing sums of money that would make any other property jump through hoops to make you happy, there are major issues with playing at Wynn. They allegedly make up for it with amazing suites and outstanding service. When those two things are taken out of the equation as well, what's left?

Personally, if I am put in a junior version of the suite that my play warrants, then I go on a junior version of the gambling binge they want me to.

Saw Bruno Mars at the same Wynn NYE party last year, that's why it was an easy choice.

Thanks as always for the TR.

I think the problems nate's running into at WYNN are just an extension of the 2x odds type policies Steve's putting in. On his last few quarterly conference calls he's said he's getting killed on bacc receipts in Macau because of the crackdown on junkets and the overall recent gov't attitude, and he's said that too many big China players either can't or aren't willing to get around that by coming to Vegas.

You might think in that situation, they would be more accommodative to a player like Nate, but it sounds like their approach is just to pull in the sails and try to wait it out. I think their thinking at this point is to limit the upside risk and pinch pennies, they'll take a flatter, smaller revenue and win number vs the risk of someone coming in and wrecking their quarter.

Isn't that the permutation of thinking in the boardroom of all these strip gaming companies right now. I mean it's trickled down to the top tier player club members too. Casino companies are becoming more risk adverse and in love with F&B revenue.

I suspect after seeing the east coast gaming market collapse.

They would rather trade the high margins of gaming win for a constant 3 to 4% YOY gain in quarterly revenue. So we become more content in accepting less comps for same level of play. Nate has more ability to move the needle in his situation then us average Joes since more properties/ hosts are vying for his business.

Happy New Year to all. I saw both in pics and comments a reference to a complete bet on roulette. Could someone explain what that is and if pays differ?
