Recently there was a series called The Player, but don't know what happened to it.

The Player was canceled. I watched it was pretty entertaining. They actually cut it short by three episodes so the last one made no sense.

Was disappointed the show Vegas on CBS was canceled a few years ago. Had good ratings but didn't have the magical 18 to 49 demo watching it enough. Nicholas Pileggi was the writer too. Yet the big bang theory is on forever. Oh well.

Ugh, couldn't stand it. Admittedly, I only watched the first episode. But the premise was so absurd that I just couldn't take it

NBC cut it to 9 episodes and hasn't ordered anymore, so effectively cancelled.

I liked The Player. I loved Strike Back, so seeing him having fun in crazy action was a fun hour of tv. Plus how can you not watch Wesley Snipes ( he gets in more action scenes as it went on, including a pretty cool one)? I didn't always watch it right away, but it was good for just something to watch.

The CBS Vegas show was cool about old Vegas. I don't know if it's on Netflix or Amazon, but should be on the cbs app. I thought the show was best when focused on the sheriff v mob and the old ways of Vegas. What killed it was the "crime of the week" that was a big part of the first half.

If your looking for a movie, Wild Card was a recent action film, filmed in Vegas. Also Paul Blart 2 was filmed at the Wynn. It was corny and stupid but they got to film in some pretty cool spots of the Wynn.

My g/f said she would have turned it off after five minutes. She got $25 at Flamingo for watching the pilot and doing a survey. We were both a bit shocked it got "greenlighted". Obviously another bad decision by NBC. Seems like networks just throw shit at a wall and see what sticks now.

There was a time.....I would watch a "Vegas" show.
But they were all so bad ---
i felt like the producers/network were just using "Vegas" as a prop - for
    Sucker Viewership --- .........
I'm not a sucker, anymore.........I don't bother watching Vegas stuff.
    Unless, it's documentary in nature.

Bingo. Trooper does it right. Great edits, scenery, and living the life that we've all thought about once or twice, but could never pull it off. I'm a big fan. Go west, young man.
