This has been my worst year gambling wise since I started going to casinos regularly. Just like when in Vegas, there are certain places I can never seem to win at and will avoid like the plague. The thing I love about Vegas, if things are going bad gambling wise it is nothing to hop from one joint to another with plenty of options. The majority of my gambling losses have occurred at my local Horseshoe where I can not have a winning session. And there really are no other options to gamble around here unless I go to Hollywood Casino. The other nearest one is Belterrra, where they have good rules and I generally have winning sessions and leave with more than I came in with, problem is its about an hour drive for me each trip and I loathe being in the car for long periods. I still go to Horseshoe now only to just play in the poker room, where I can win most of the time decent sized pots and generally double or triple my buy in. Plus I go on days they offer me free play or reward credits, I always opt for the reward credits and have amassed a decent size to use on trips in Vegas. But table game wise, video poker and slot wise....its lose, lose and lose. I feel like Clark Griswald in Vegas Vacation.

For a while I would think this was a mental thing with gambling there, remembering all my past losses here...but I really can't have a winning session. While playing craps, often its point-seven out immediately when I'm playing the passline and when I'm the shooter. I try to change it up and bet the don't pass sometime and end up losing doing that. Blackjack I can't even play there anymore. The rules are horrible and every table I play has table jumpers that hop in just when the cards are going good. The high-limit room is even worse with double deck being a $50.00 to $100 min with only being able to double 9,10,11. I'm not just buying in for a few hands either, so thats not the problem. I generally buy in with enough for 50 base bets or more. It just feels like everything I do here is lose. The last 18 trips I have had here have all been loses, aside from when I go to just play poker only. The last winning trip I have logged here was in May.

Are there casinos like this that you feel the same about? Where no matter what you play you can't even get ahead by a little?

As much as I still feel the Bellagio is the "quintessential" Las Vegas casino/experience, I can't win a nickel in that place. I might as well just open the door, throw the $$$ in and save myself the time and trouble of trying!

Same. I can't seem to win a dime there. On three seperate trips to play blackjack there, I've lost $2,500 to $4,000 each time. And still never got an offer! I now just do a walk through there when I am with Vegas virgins and won't spend a dime at the tables. I do love the food choices there, I can't write them off completely though. Just no gambling there for me!

OMG, Luxor. It's the worst for me. I'm predominantly a VP player and I just feed bills in there. I don't think I've ever got quads there, which are my lifeline. Last time there, I switched to blackjack and I swear I had just one dealer after another like the one in Vegas Vacation. It was brutal.

I've decided to not even look at Luxor anymore. :haha:

Not that I've played there more than once or twice but the Luxor just creeps me out. It makes me feel on edge and anxious when I'm in there.

I tend to disregard luck. The places where I get a bad vibe are those where the dealers are no fun. They can suck the life out of a small win, and make a loss far more miserable.

NYNY. I used to stay there all the time but after several losing trips I moved on. Unfortunately DH wants to stay there for our April 2016 trip. I'm seriously trying to talk him out if it. [emoji16]

    oo

    Anything owned by CET,
    =Slot of death for me.

Stopped going to anything CET, I rem on our last L.V. trip I told my wife Circa 2013,
"It's like there bankrupt, the paints falling off the walls, Moving sidewalks always broken (Bally's),dirty carpet,
& the $lots are tighter than hell, So tight they even make a penny scream /poor Lincoln".

From the widespread publicized Gary Loveman slot experiment.
"Loveman proceeded to raise the hold of slot machines throughout all of his CET casinos."

For me it's Aria. The casino looks great and has a good vibe to it...but I have never won a dime in that place. It doesn't matter what I play...slots, VP, craps, BJ, roulette...nada. I now just avoid it at all costs.

I lived at Bally's for the first time last trip. It was my first CET experience and the gambling was horrible! Bounced over to Caesars and the gaming there was horrible as well. CET properties have been brutal.

I was just thinking about another place in Vegas I tend to avoid gambling at downtown is Golden Nugget. The one place I skip over on Fremont.

It's the Wynn/Encore for me. Had my first CL there. The minimum line is $5K. It's the only place where (about 10 years ago) I maxxed out my CL and refused to give them any more of my $$$ and went home a day early.

I've gotten Hand Pays there, but they always come after I've put in the amount I'm getting back.
